Mulligan´s Irish Pub Gran Canaria — Restaurant in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

We booked this week holiday the day before because we needed a break after my father in law passed the week before, so were not expecting much. We really needed the break. we found this great pub mulligans just outside the hotel we stayed in. We kept going back after trying loads as they had the winning formula. Live entertainment, great food , we ate breakfast and dinner several times, clean toilets and just a lovely feel, no smoking in the patio area. Food was stunning , had steak one night (stunning), fahitas and breakfast all beautifully made. However the main reason we went back was because of the staff , they were out of this world they worked tirelessly hard and were always smiling and friendly. Janine and Mantes were great gave us one of our best nights, such laughs and so good to us. Also Erica one of the nights was so attentive and worked so hard and Kevin was the Irish guy who also gave us an amazing service during the day when we would go for breakfast. They were fun accommodating attentive you just don't get that level of service on holiday. I would go back to gran canaria to go back there as we had such a great time even htough it was a very sad time for us distracted us from our troubles. They need a payrise to hold on to them!!! They wont know what they did for eamonn losing his father. This was all we needed to go back and deal...

Me and my partner stayed in the hotel next to the Irish pub. Every time we passed we saw a queue from people waiting to be seated . So that meant just one thing, good food and an atmosphere. Also, there was live music , which made it more interesting and enjoyable.

We visited two times over our stay. I had pizza both times because I really liked how they made it, crispy and thin . First time my partner had steak (he didn’t tell me why, but he didn’t like it) second time he had a hamburger and made him really full. The second time we was there, we had for starter canaries potatoes, which was really good with side dips.

Definitely would recommend a visit as it was reasonably priced and had a nice atmosphere.

Unfortunately, downside is the staff, bless them they are so so busy, they cannot pay enough attention to the customer and can’t do good customer service because they are rushed off their feet. Literally you have a waiter on your table 3 times - when they take order, when they bring the food and drinks, and when you have to pay. Both times when we was ready we had to wave a few times for the attention of the waiters so we could pay.

I will give 5 star review. But definitely for better customer service, the owner needs to have at least 2 more waiters at the time. Best of luck. See...

4 visits here were good but tonight my son had the chicken burger and immediately spotted a spider in his burger crawling out of the lettuce... in less than a minute of the meals coming out and being placed we told them about the spider.

No apologies offered and excuses that it must have been from the umbrella, in all fairness they did ask what else he wanted and had the stake sandwich after that the service went cold towards us.

We was then expected to pay the full price (€6) for the sandwich...... We expected them to take it off the bill as a way of an apology at the very least, I asked them if they surely expected us to pay for the sandwich... It was removed off the bill.

Such a shame as we have spent over €230 plus tips in total on 4 different visits with the last one being €74 for 4 meals and 5 drinks.

Food was not nice at all this evening but it didn't help that a creepy-crawly came out of the food and then it put us all right off eating. My daughter wanted the grilled chicken and came out as chicken strips.

Unfortunately we will not be back for...
