Picturesque hotels to visit - part 2 ☀️🌴🤩 @lopesancostameloneras was absolutely beautiful, everything about this hotel was 5 star ⭐️. The food, staff & grounds were so picturesque. This is a family friendly hotel and also features lots of different pool areas! We loved sitting up by the jacuzzi, overlooking the sea 🌊- everyone needs some vitamin Sea 🤪🤩 Melonares as an area is very upmarket & high end- the restaurants as a result are very good as you can imagine 🤩🤩 we had some great meals along the beachfront and they have so many different ones to choose from! @cafedelmargc was fun 🥂 I also loved that @bluemarlinibizaskylounge is also within the area to visit for some Ibiza vibes ☀️ Really recommend GC for a holiday spot 🌺 @visitgrancanaria @hellocanaryislands

A bit of a mixed bag, this place. We visited on a very windy, cool evening and because it's situated right on the promenade overlooking the ocean it's was very cold and windy, they had, however, got outdoor heaters situated throughout and blankets, which I only discovered at the end of my meal, wish someone would have mentioned it sooner. We were attracted to the menu outside, but when we were seated we were told that it was an old menu and the dishes were not available. We had to download the menu via a CT code. This itself is a nuisance as you can only see a small portion of it at any one time and not everyone either has the ability or phone to do this. Not all of the 5 girls on the table next to us didn't have access so they got up and left, this was after they'd moved tables as they were sat away from the heaters. We were informed by the waiter that they were bringing a new menu out next week and that we could also order from that "paper" menu if we choose, however, not everything was available. Think we ordered our starters from the on-line menu and our main courses from the new menu, but I'm not 100%. Overall the food was delicious, I had emmental bean hummus with poppadoms to start (€18) which was very tasty and my partner had Chupa Chups (€16) which was langoustines on a skewer in a mild coconut curry sauce, which he said was delicious. My main course was risoto Calabaz which was pear and walnut in a black tea risotto (€21), which was very tasty but I have had better, the rice did feel more like barley and there was a slight bitter taste, which I assume was the black tea. Not really my taste. My partner had the Supreme salmon (€25) which he was told was very spicey so he ordered a beer, in preparation, however, he was sadly disappointed as it was very very mildly spiced. He got a small green vinegarette salad with it, however, he felt the dish needed some Canaria potatos or other vegetables to accompany it. I am surprised at their pricing, my hummus was more expensive than his langoustines and the salmon seemed expensive for what he got. My medium/sweet white wine was lovely, so much that I took a photo. The waiters were very attentive although there was a mix up with the wine, and I wish they'd offered me a blanket. Obviously they can't account for the weather but they really need to get the menu sorted, both the new one and the old one still on display outside and provide paper copies. One last thing, the ladies toilet was a disgrace, it was dirty and lacked paper, all the silver items were rusty and everywhere looked grubby despite a cleaner being in there at the time. Why have a cleaner on at 8pm surely she should have cleaned it earlier when it was less busy. Overall I think it was overpriced for what we got, I've had far better meals for much less in nicer surroundings.

An Unforgettable Dining Experience with Spectacular Entertainment! Our recent visit to this bar and restaurant was simply unparalleled, making it our best dinner experience ever. From start to finish, every aspect of the evening was sheer perfection. The entertainment stole the spotlight, quite literally! The acrobatic performances left us in awe with their jaw-dropping feats and breathtaking agility. The singing added another layer of enchantment to the atmosphere, creating a truly magical ambiance. Of course, the food was good, but it was the perfect complement to the evening. Each dish was flavorful and well-prepared, offering a diverse range of options. The service was equally outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating. They made us feel like VIPs, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed for an unforgettable evening. The combination of incredible acrobatic shows, mesmerizing singing, good food, and impeccable service created an experience that exceeded our wildest expectations. It was a night of sheer delight and wonder. In conclusion, if you're seeking an unforgettable evening that combines exceptional entertainment with good food and impeccable service, look no further. This bar and restaurant has set the bar high for our future dining experiences, and we can't wait to return for another incredible show and meal.

Where to start with this 135€ bill of terrible service! Before your come don’t make my mistake and make sure you look at other reviews ! Start to finish off my terrible experience and it only gets worse towards the end. First of all very misleading when being seated escorted to your table by the women on the front and chairs opened out for you which was nice. Once you’re in this is where the mistake starts! Had to even ask for a baby chair!! Left my baby in the pram next to the table. So anyway Ordered food and the guy messed my order up. Luckily I noticed beforehand and reminded him that we will need 2 sets of steak knifes. Waiters look you up and down and make you feel low. Stood there all talking and looking at each table. Clearly judging people… 3x mains come out to the others at my table and I was served my starter while there mains came out and my main come out while they was nearly finished!! I ordered the steak medium well and it came out still moo’ing. Plate was covered in blood. Didn’t complain as my mrs does not like conflict and wouldn’t eat it even if they took it and re-done it. Half way through eating my baby 12 month old baby started choking and cause him too be sick all over him self and my mrs had to leave the restraunt due to not feeling comfortable and judged and felt embarrassed to sort the baby out in the restraunt so had to leave to go and wash him down and buy him new clothes!! Once she left I immediately had to ask for the bill as I was worried and wanted to go with my family. The guy I asked disappeared and never came back after telling him my situation! I sat there for 30 minutes trying to call people over with empty plates at my table and empty drinks even if I was to need a drink they would have lost there self some money . Waiters walking straight passed me. Stood there talking to each other looking over at me and stood on their phones. A young lad finally came over and sorted out my bill and was apologising. I asked for the manager and someone else came over( maybe above the waiters) the excuse was that they was busy and had to serve the new people coming in even though lots of empty tables and if they can’t serve there service then why allow more people 😂 when I told him alls he said is basically there manager was not in but he will tell the manager and that’s it. When I left I rang the restraunt and they told me ring back in 30 minutes and the manager will be in. I rang and he/she still wasn’t there but they said they will ring me when he/she is… I rang 1 hour later and they are ignoring the phone. I wouldn’t mind if the food was decent but it wasn’t ! The service is a joke. I would love to have a meeting with the manager of This place as that would be the only time I would be re-visiting. Total scam. Only visit if you are in a suit cause that’s the only time you will be spoken...

Don't waste your time going here, the worst service I have encountered possibly ever

To preface this, we attended on a quiet Sunday night towards the end of the night for context - on arrival the place looks amazing. The layout, the decor, the bars - the issues began when the service started. I have worked in many bars/clubs/restaurants in my life and I immediately knew this was going to be a disaster. There were people wearing different types of uniforms to others (which would usually signify a manager/floor manager/maître d) - every person who came to our table was equally inept and clueless. There was no managing or direction present at all.

The first female server came down to take a drinks order (we are already sitting at the table for 20-30 mins at this stage), she took 5 people's orders out of the 12 sitting at the table and disappeared. The drinks appeared maybe another 20 minutes later - we are now sitting at the table for 50 minutes getting our first drink and no food order taken as of yet.

The "menu" was a QR code attached to a piece of wood of which one was given to a group of 12 people - no explanation/no discussion/no direction just thrown onto the table

The food was ordered, a female server came down saying "tagliatelle" when a carbonara was ordered - as a member of staff serving food YOU should know what YOUR dishes are called, not knowing this causes confusion. When it was discovered what the dish was and called its correct name as per the menu it was then slammed onto the table and the female server showed visual frustration (even though she was in the wrong for not knowing the name of the dish she is serving). In all my training for bar/food service you never ever do this - no matter how mad you are

The food was decent and the menu was varied and mixed but the service left a bad taste in everyone's mouths and this place isn't cheap for Gran Canaria

A second drinks order was taken but half the drinks arrived out and usually the wrong drink, bearing in mind its the end of the night and people are clearing empty tables for no reason while people on our table are waiting for drinks/service

There were other small incidents on the night I am not documenting here - these were the major ones

Don't waste your time, money and patience - go somewhere else...
