I posted a review for this restaurant on the 6th of October, and the response I received was surprising—it stated that they were going to contact the Civil Guard and accused my review of being fake. However, I can assure you that this is not a fake review.
My husband and I visited on the 5th of October, and we ordered a wagyu burger and paella. After taking two bites of the burger, my husband noticed that something was off. We had asked for the burger to be cooked medium to well, but it was nowhere near that—it was raw in the middle. My husband stopped eating immediately. Unfortunately, by 5am the next morning, he became severely ill, which required medical treatment, including IV drips, antibiotics, and consultations with doctors.
Our situation became more complicated as my husband was declared unfit to fly by the doctor, forcing us to extend our stay by two days with continued medical care. Thankfully, after 48 hours of treatment, my husband began to recover.
Leading up to this, we ate the same foods as always, and the only notable difference was the undercooked burger. When I posted this review, I was accused of providing false information and told that the Civil Guard had been notified, which is alarming. This review is simply a reflection of our experience.
I now wish I had read more reviews, particularly on TripAdvisor, before...
Read moreAn absolute disastrous rude general manager, who ruins otherwise a good restaurant experience. We will NOT be visiting this place again, at least not until this grumpy little man with big ego is in charge of the place.
P.S. Answering the response from one of the owners below: Yes, we were at B-One Costa Meloneras (you can check our New Year’s Eve reservation for Dec 31 dinner on my name, we booked a table by the window). So when we arrived and the nice hostess lead us to the nice table by the window, the extremely rude Italian manager (owner) appeared and pointed at a different table (not directly by the window, as we booked initially) and shouted that we should go to McDonald’s if we are not happy with the table. We accepted to be seated at a different table with a bad aftertaste of such a poor welcome, and then I politely approached this Italian manager and told him that it is impolite to talk like this to the guests he does not even know of. Then he replied that “you are free to leave my restaurant right away” - and this is despite we paid a deposit of Euro 100 for this dinner. All in all, he did a good job in ruining our nice mood. As I said, there is no way for us (or our friends or family members) to visit your place again in future unless this manager brings his sincere...
Read moreI am surprised at these reviews after our experience! Please check this place out on trip advisor 2.7 for reviews! So we ordered 2 x Paella’s, & I had the steak. The steak was ok, it was edible. The waiter explained that it came with vegetables, well it never did, just chips & I had to explain that to get it removed from the bill! Anyway we have been coming to the canaries for some years now, & the Paella was the worst effort I have seen, the rice was stuck to the pan as if it had been heated up from previous & the sauce was like a gravy with literally a few prawns on top! As if the food was not bad enough, the service was even worse, the waiter then came back out & said whats wrong with it to my wife who was far too polite & hungry to say how bad it was! No apology, not even when they charged me for some vegetables that never arrived! I honestly believe that this place survives on passing trade, not its food! Far better out there be in my opinion....
