I expected a lot more of this restaurant because the reviews looked very promising. When arriving the kind girl asked if we had a reservation, wich we had not and had a table for us available. It was not very busy.
We only got 1 menu for 4 people and 10 minutes later she gave us another one, but still not 1 menu for every person. We ordered 2 breads with aioli wich were nice for 2.50 each and 1 crispy fried ebi roll wich was meh. Not crispy, not much flavor and too much rice for 15,50. While the side dishes just arrived, 2 minutes later the man already asked if we could order the main dish, like he was in a rush.
When we were almost done with our side dishes, the main dishes arrived too fast. The pasta carbonara was flavorless, the lasagna was too cheesy and the bottom bun of my hamburger was soaking wet so I had to eat the hamburger without the bottom bun. The fries that came with it didn’t have any sauces to dip in either…
When we were done eating they also tried to charge us more because the price of the burger was higher on my receipt than in the menu. They had to correct the price but did not came back with the new receipt so I had to stand up, walk to them and ask if I could pay for the new receipt. When the service and food is this bad, I’m not giving any tips.
In the end, the food and restaurant looks good but the taste does not compare. Maybe we chose the wrong dishes… I wouldve liked a better experience on our last day here 😔
We decided not to get any desserts because we were very...
Read moreOverall, this is a very good restaurant. I’ve been there twice and tried two different meat dishes.
The first time I ordered the American Prime Rib (35€), medium rare. As shown in the photo I’ve attached, the meat looked perfectly cooked when it arrived. However, since it was served on a sizzling hot plate, the steak continued to cook and ended up being medium to well-done.
The second time I ordered item number 2505 from the menu (a single whole cut, not sliced), also medium rare. Unfortunately, it arrived medium to medium-well and continued to cook further due to the hot plate. I sent it back, and the replacement came out perfectly cooked — but again, the sizzling plate made it a race against time to eat it before it got overdone.
This is something the restaurant should consider fixing. Serving steaks on extremely hot plates may look dramatic, but it compromises the cooking quality unless the meat is undercooked beforehand or the plate is cooler.
Also worth mentioning: I originally ordered Canarian potatoes, but when the replacement meal arrived, I was served fries instead — a small detail, but worth noting.
All in all, good food and quality ingredients — just be aware of how the hot plates affect the steak if you care about getting your preferred doneness.
UPDATE: They have now mastered the cooking for the entrecôte (2505 on the menu) it is clearly the best meat you can get here in Las Meloneras and this is my go to restaurant now for specific 2505. See the last picture of the cooking,...
Read moreWe had a wonderful experience at this restaurant in Maspalomas. The sushi and gyoza were absolutely fantastic, and the rib eye was cooked to perfection. The cocktails, crafted by Lucio, are a real highlight – highly recommended.
The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel welcome from start to finish. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality of both the food and the drinks truly makes it worth it.
To top it off, you can enjoy a stunning sunset view while dining – the perfect setting for a memorable evening.
