Though I'm familiar with the area I had never tried this restaurant. First impressions were very positive. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The interior is bright and there was a nice buzz to the place. It has a strong neighbourhood feel while at the same time welcoming different nationalities. I had delicious albondigas to start. Plenty of them and they were beautifully cooked in a sauce rich in flavour without being overpowering. For main course I had Cherne (quite similar to cod) and prawns on a bed of sliced potatoes. Absolutely delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked. I had Tiramisu for dessert. I like my Tiramisu to be a bit on the boozy side but this one wasn't. I gather from talking to people that the boozy type of Tiramisu is not overly popular. Nonetheless, it was an acceptable dessert. I opted for the house red. Two glasses. A Ribera del Duero. It was probably one of the best house reds I've tasted in a long time. Service was excellent throughout the meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I didn't feel rushed at any stage and I had a very relaxing time. On the night the place was very busy and it's easy to see why. They know how to get just about everything right at a reasonable price. The restaurant is well worth the short detour from local tourist destinations. Very highly...
Read moreBooked this restaurant following a recommendation from our hotel receptionist. I was on holiday with my daughter who was celebrating her 30th birthday on 25th November 2022 and wanted a nice tapas meal. From the moment we arrived until we left the evening was just perfect. The food was amazing, the waiter (Adam) was informative, helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was special, even bringing out a dessert with a candle in it for my daughter's birthday. It is obviously a place that locals frequent but we would highly recommend this restaurant to holiday makers. Outstanding food at very reasonable prices, do not...
Read moreFantastic service and food.
We were recommended this by our hotel receptionist. The restaurant was busy but we had no problem getting a seat without a reservation. There were mostly locals when we were there.
We sat outside on the street, the service was great. Our waiter spoke fluent English. He told us what the specials were. We chose to have two main portions, one tapas portion and one half portion. I'd highly recommend the zucchini tempura with goats cheese and carrot jam.
Slight confusion when we asked another server for the bill and got a Bailey's instead. This was quickly resolved with...
