La Mafia se sienta a la mesa — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Used our Bongo bon here. As the waiter greeted us and showed us to our preferred table outside we instantly felt welcome and appreciated. An appetizer was brought to the table and drinks were ordered. The camarero explained us what we could order with our voucher and left us some time to decide. We ordered and every thing came with the perfect timing, every dish just with the desired space between them. We had an tomato tapenade with breadcrumbs, a special house made ravioli filled with meat, blackberries, pine nuts and meat juice. Followed with a fresh pasta with iberico, walnuts and cream cheese sauce called pasta Malfadi for my lady. I had the Huevos Rotos, which is a traditional Canary dish made with fries, eggs, bacon and cheese, perfection. Our 2,5 year old daughter ate together with us as the portions were more than a normal size. Also to mention she got coloring crayons and picture papers to have herself entertained from the start from one of the waiters with a smile. We finished with a home made tiramisu and coffee. As drinks we got a bottle of rosé prosecco and a bottle of sparkling water. All with the correct tableware and glasses, even a special cup for our daughter. As our voucher was worth 50€ we had some small extras to pay as the coffee and water. But with a smile again we were told that we did not have to pay any extra and the extras were complementary on the house. To summarize as La Mafia is a restaurant chain, there is nothing we could point out negative. It was the most positive experience we he had the whole time. Good location as well in the city center. We had an amazing dining experience at this superb restaurant, made even more special by our waiter Juan, he is a credit to your company, very friendly, helpful & accommodating. Although this is a chain of restaurants, the menu choice & authenticity is outstanding. We sampled Serrano ham as a starter, super quality & delicious. For a main, I had the cod filled ravioli with romesco sauce & my husband had the lamb ravioli with a sherry reduction, both so delicious, one subtle & one hearty, could eat it again right now! A tiramisu & a chocolate fondant cake for dessert were the icing on the cake. A great location, we sat on the lovely terrace as a warm evening, inside looked very nice & welcoming. We are already looking forward to our return during the winter months to be able to enjoy the atmosphere inside & to hopefully say hello...

The staff were courteous and efficient. Helpful in ordering. The food was delicious and plentiful. Recommend the pasta , the cesar salad was a teeny bit heavy on dressing and a wee bit light on chicken. My husband loved the pasta dish. Prices are reasonable, well priced very good quantity. Only thing was they got the change wrong they took 1.20 from the change which we think was for the tip. Not the 1st time it's happened in another restaurant. Maybe it's the done thing.
