Restaurante El Águila — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

I recently visited a breakfast spot that left me feeling pretty disappointed, especially considering the high price. We ended up paying 28 euros for two omelets, a roll, two coffees, a bottle of water, and a glass of juice. While the food itself wasn't terrible, the value for the price was far from justified.

What bothered me even more was the sneaky approach they took with the menu. They didn’t show us one when we sat down, and we only realized the price once the bill came. It's frustrating because it felt like they intentionally avoided giving us an idea of what to expect cost-wise. It’s not a good feeling when you get hit with an inflated price without being informed upfront.

At the end of the day, for what we got, it just wasn’t worth it. If you're looking for a breakfast that actually matches its price, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Definitely not a place...

Very strange experience - the waiter completely ignored English speakers, and was so rude to us, compared to a French family sitting behind us, and Spanish people at other tables. We weren't offered menus, had to take them off another table, we waited about 15 minutes to order, and even then we had to stop him as he was walking past to take our order. Even paying was a hassle. There was an English couple on the table across from us, and they had similar problems - had to ask twice for a menu. He totally ignored them. They finished their beer, waited for another 15 mins to order and eventually left to get food somewhere else as he didnt go near them. Una de las peores experiencias en éste año que comienza. Acudí con unas amigas en la noche del último sábado de carnaval como hacemos cada año. Nos situamos en la zona de la barra exterior que montan para servir mientras estás en la calle.

Después de no menos de tres consumiciones por cabeza, las chicas necesitan ir al baño y aquí se tuerce todo. Un tipo calvo, malencarado y con nula educación (del que me comentan es hijo del propietario) les niega la entrada para acudir al servicio. El mismo individuo que nos había servido las bebidas que abonamos al instante les dice que no, que no entran, mientras sí circulan a su bola y permite el paso a otras personas a las que este mentecato deja que entren y salgan del local a su aire y sin impedimento pero eso sí , con una característica particular, se trata únicamente de varones. Una de mis amigas le pide explicaciones del por qué de su negativa y la respuesta es que dentro hay una fiesta privada y solo se permite la entrada a Gays.

Esto va contra toda las normas que deben cumplir los locales de hotelería en particular. No se le puede negar el acceso al baño a un cliente que se esté comportando con normalidad, que ha consumido y pagado. Esto es el carnaval y no el Día del Orgullo Gay, y si haces una fiesta exclusiva no pretendas hacer negocio también con la gente a la que sirves y cobras bien salado con una barra montada a la entrada de tu local para después no permitirles entrar a mear. Qué sucede porque las chicas clientes pasen al baño?. Acaso te da miedo que al rozarlos se conviertan en heteros y te jodan el negocio?. O será que el baño se estaba utilizando para otros menesteres que no eran mear o lavarse las manos?.

Nunca más volveremos a pisar semejante antro ni gastar un céntimo en el local del tipo calvo alérgico a las mujeres. Y pienso hacer todo lo que esté en mi mano para que no vaya nadie de mi familia, amigos, conocidos y también el que se tercie. Un cero por todo lo relatado y porque como restaurante es caro y peor que...
