Pianeta Espresso — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

First Google review of my 34 years. Went here solo, it was busy so I sat at the barstool. A table opened up, so I sat down but was denied because I am a party of one. So I sat at the cramped bar again. Another table opened up, the same size as the one I was denied, but suddenly it was ok and I could sit there. Fantastic, off putting, but ok. The seat was sticky. They all were at my table. I reviewed the menu and tried to get the servers attention by waving my hand and speaking, but it just would not work. About 5 minutes of this. So I went up to the bar and waited... trying to make eye contact with anyone so I could order. Eventually I ordered. Sat back down. The food came quickly, which was nice. I ordered the crepe canaries with fruit parfait. The parfait was good. The crepe was good except it was mostly onion. I could not taste the cheese or meat, only onion. When I was finished, I was looking to pay the bill and leave. It was hot inside with no fan or AC, and very loud as it was busy. My server left the restaurant without any notice. Suddenly he was gone. So I went back to the bar with my money out. Waited another 3-5 minutes until I could finally pay and leave. The entire visit was maybe 40 minutes. It should have been 20. So many little things that could easily be avoided. I did not feel welcome, but just an inconvenience...

Nice little cafe/creperie in central Santa Cruz. Came here for a quick dinner on Monday night. We were seated and waited a bit for our order to be taken. Service was friendly but a bit slow as it started to get busy. The atmosphere was nice. Foo was typical Spanish tapas, and we also ordered a couple of their sandwiches. The Canarian cheese toast was good, and the toast with salmon was also very nice. The iberian ham croquettes were very crispy...

Pianeta Espresso - Cafeteria, creperia, ensaladeria y tapas, en Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Interesting tapas dishes, with delicious goats cheese options, tasty salads. Very helpful waiters who spoke good English. Portions are big so you are not hungry when leaving. They have quite nice home made dessert as well. Restaurant was clean, busy and good choice on menu.
