You definitely want to put this place on the short list of places to eat in Seville! I just finished a week in the city and went to eat here at least 3 times. The food is great, the drinks are cheap (a pitcher of sangria for $12...easily enough for four people), and there's the one super-hot waiter. You'll absolutely know him when you see him, and it's to my discredit that I was busy staring at him as opposed to nametag, or I'd tell you who is he.
There are a lot of tasty treats on this menu, and you can get a tapas version of almost everything on the menu. Since it's Spain, you can basically hold down a table for hours...HOURS...sipping inexpensive beverages and tasting any menu. This is a great people-watching spot, they never rush you, and the waitstaff is very patient with your bad Spanish.
It's worth saying that while there are tasty cheap treats on the tapas menu, you should consider going INSIDE to sit just once so you can get the benefit of the meal deal. You get a two course meal, a beer, dessert, and coffee for only $14.90. The only downside is that you have to sit INSIDE, when the whole Spanish vibe is to sit outside.
Outside of the hot waiter (seriously, tourists at nearby tables were taking pictures with him), there's a young lady that wears glasses who is super-efficient at what she does. Everything was terrible. Not a single thing was ok.
The operating table lighting inside, the wobbly table, the menu presentation, the cheap cutlery, the cheap plates, the glasses, the unprofessional service.
The Tinto de verano tasted like there is something wrong in it but you can't tell what.
The Croquetas were so tiny, overcooked and oozing fat!
Frito misto, the same story. No taste and the fish was not cleaned of all its bones.
Paella had a weird glowing orange color, texture of the sauce was like juice and it tasted only salt. The seafood in it was so small and overcooked.
After the first bite of Paella we decided to pay and leave.
We paid almost 60 euros for 2.
I feel fooled and frustrated! Is that what we are expecting to feel out of a restaurant????

Read moreThe thing is...... that I went to a total of 5-6 restaurants at 4 p.m. and NONE of them had paella (some were even closing their kitchens) which makes no sense in such a touristy and important city as Seville. I stopped by this street to see if they finally had paella, and it was a total SUCCESS!!!
José was a very honest and charismatic waiter and he recommended me "Mixed Paella" such a good recommendation!!!! It was delicious and for my whole surprise It came quicker than I espected. Food was tasty, perhaps the russian salad was a lil bit more than sour than usual, Paella really worth it!!!
