Spent 10 days in Spain and this is the first bad experience. We ordered the grilled prawns, seafood paella, jamon.

Prawns were inconsistently sized and therefore inconsistently cooked, some were over cooked, some were still liquid/bloody when you take the head off. (btw, I believe the prawns were 6 for 11 euros, we went to the carrefour next door and bought the same ones, got 11 large prawns for 3 euro, pan seared it shell on with just butter, chive and a sprinkle of salt and it tasted way better than theirs)

The seafood paella was one of the most expensive ones we have had, 18 per portion and you must order 2 portions, the smaller shrimps that came with the paella had a weird chemical taste, clearly from frozen. The dish took forever to come out, and it was way too soupy compared to every other paella we have had, and god was it salty! I know Spanish food tend to be on the salty side, but this was beyond acceptable.

Nothing wrong nor special with the jamon, but the portion is tiny, you are basically paying 1 euro per piece.

Also they charge for bread, usually you can just say no to bread. But they said it’s 1 euro per person, to use their cutleries and bread. I don’t know if that’s common but never been told that before at other restaurants.

Oh, and beer portion is tiny, we ordered beer in bottles and draft, draft portion is much less than the bottle.

Overall it was overpriced and food was below average. I don’t understand why it got such high reviews. I would not recommend it but maybe it’s just not to my taste.

(Also table next to us ordered the octopus leg and barely had any of it, so yah maybe don’t order that...

came to this place feeling hopeful after reading some of the reviews but we were very disappointed with the food and service. we ordered the pork cheeks and tenderloin tapas which were not bad and reasonably priced, but the paella was awful and the worst one we’ve had over the past week in spain. for €20 per person (so €40 in total), which we already felt were quite pricey in comparison to barcelona and madrid, the seafood toppings served did not match up to the price point at all (the shrimps in the photo were pretty much the size of my pinky). not to mention that the rice itself was much less flavourful than usual so much so that we left at least 1/3 of this uneaten despite this being our first meal since the early morning. this bad review was further exacerbated by the additional ‘bread and service’ charge despite the unremarkable service and not having been served any bread. when we clarified with the waitress about this charge, she mentioned that it comes together and we would have to pay even if we did not order any bread. given that bread was something you could order on the menu, we felt like this practice was dishonest and misleading and caution future customers to just order the bread since they are going to charge for it anyways whether you do or not. overall we do not recommend this restaurant, come if you must but we’re sure that there are other spots in seville that are much more deserving of...

Horrible experience. We saw this restaurant very high rated and decided to eat there. They charged 5€ for two tiny dry slices of bread, 68€ (for 4 people) for the absolutely worst seafood paella ever that had basically 4 prawns and 4 mussels, and the rest was just rice. An absolute disaster, no protein at all. In my opinion, it felt like a tourist trap. Avoid 2022/01/26: Since I can't reply, I'll edit right here. 1- 17€ (not 13€ like you just said, meaning that you are lying) was the price for the "paella" that was rice, burnt on the bottom, and a couple (literally) pieces of tiny shrimps. In Portugal, we can eat paellas for that price and with much more protein. 2- We do not like to return food unless it's absolutely uneatable, for 2 reasons: we don't know what the owners do to returned food, and most likely the returned food would end up in the trash, and I also have a food policy: don't waste food, since people are starving. It's unethical. 3- Of course we ate the "paella", but we did it because we had no choice (because of point 2). Just because we ate the paella doesn't mean that we enjoyed it.

My first bad experience in Seville and funny enough we were recommended to come here. The starters was good with grilled vegetables and king prawns. The prawns were succulent and fresh, cooked really well. Tried the fried anchovies for the first time, it was interesting but the portion was too big to finish it all. Otherwise it's good. However, the seafood paella was horrible. I generally can take salty food, but this was way beyond edible. Having just a few spoons of it my mouth just ruined my taste palette and that was the end of it. I think the chef should taste his food before serving to customers, it's just ridiculously salty beyond reason. Reading other reviews here, I realise that I'm not the only one that said it was salty. Other than the bad super salty paella, the staff were friendly and attentive. They even offered us shots when I said that the paella was too salty that we can't eat it. Bottom line, I think they need to have their chef checked for saltiness.
