The power-outage across Spain meant exploring Seville to find restaurants who had their power restored. We came across La Cayetana at opening (7pm), and it looked lovely from the outside, and IS lovely on the inside as you can see.
The lady who is front of house / service was just lovely. Super helpful, very welcoming, and forgiving of my awful Spanish.
We had: a sangria each (one white, one red, both delicious) the special salad to start, which was salmon-based with avocado and walnuts - also delicious the special scallops (3 each), cokked to perfection and ALSO delicious the braised pork cheek cannelloni, with sourdough bread to soak up the sauce - so delicious (forgot photo 🤦♂️ ) one each of the baked white chocolate cheesecake and caramelised brioche to share - very delicious, but by this time we were very full!
So, in case you can't tell - everything was delicious! Service was impeccable, and the restaurant itself is absolutely lovely.

Read moreThis restaurant has recently opened ...and we decided to have a go. All the tables outside were either occupied or booked already, but when asking if there was a table for 2 available the attendant was very nice and friendly and managed a table inside. Their choices in the menu is not wide, but I found it well planned and definetly easier to choose from. The food is well presented and the quality is very good. The mini burger is astounding...cruncy soft bread, crispy tasty bacon ...and the quality of the meat excellent...A PITY it was a MINI BURGER😪😪 The tuna salad was very tasty and the tomatoes firm and fresh. The ensaladilla, creamy and soft a great starter. I was very pleased to find that their alcohol free beer is my favourite one FREEDAM. The staff is very effective, offering a fast and polite service. The decoration is cool and clean...but the pictures on the wall...could be improved!! This is my humble opinion of course. If you are in the centre of Seville is definitely worth...
Read moreTHE best restaurant we have visited during our stay in Sevilla! The atmosphere, the setting, the calm music, the super friendly service but most of all, the DELICIOUS food! It made it all a perfect experience ✨ We had 2 different wines suggested (a white and a red one each), both were exactly what we wanted and we had 4 dishes because we simply wanted to taste more & more of their reactions in the kitchen 😋 The anchovies toasts as a starter, grilled prawns in garlic, chicken skewers with couscous and a cannelloni 🤤 (only managed to take a photo of one dish because everything else disappeared too quickly in our stomachs 😅) Everything was exquisite, extremely flavourful and you could notice that it was prepared with care ♥ It is a bit more pricey than regular tapas bars but you're paying into great quality (our bill was 55€ for two: With 2 aperitivos, 4 glasses of wine & 4 dishes)! Do stop by there when coming to...
