Dreadful Food, Abysmal Service

We mistakenly ate at Milonguitas. As we were looking at tables in the adjoining park, a waiter approached us to direct us to a table near the restaurant. It turns out that the tables in the park were from a different restaurant.

The Milongquitas menu focused on hamburgers, empanadas, and grilled chicken. While my husband ordered a hamburger, which, as it turns out, was the wiser choice, I wanted only three empanadas. The waiter (the same one who acted as a “tout” to bring in customers) tried to push me to order a main course, in addition to the three empanadas.

The hamburger was okay, but the empanadas were horrible – dried-out, with little meat and a lot of thick and chewy dough. They were so bad that I didn’t eat the last of the three empanadas. I’ve had better empanadas from a frozen-foods section of a grocery store in other countries.

When the waiter presented the bill, he had the audacity to directly asked for a tip – and gratuities are not customary in Seville for decent service, much less for the abysmal service by the Milongquitas waiter.

If you’re in Sevilla and love meat, this restaurant is an absolute gem. In my opinion, it’s the best in the city — hands down.

From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about making our experience memorable. You can tell they care about both the food and their guests.

Now, the food… wow. The meat dishes were perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and served with the kind of attention to detail you’d expect from a top-tier kitchen. Whether it was a juicy steak, slow-cooked lamb, or a creative twist on Iberian classics, everything we tried was simply delicious.

The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between cozy and elegant, making it great for both a relaxed dinner or a special night out.

We ordered two Argentinean rib eye and got two steaks instead. We were surprised but we didn’t ask. When it was time to pay the money we paid was less than what we thought we should pay and thats how we figured the waiter got us the wrong order. We didn’t tell them the order was wrong. I believe it was just miscommunication and language barrier as we didn’t speak Spanish. Although we were the only ones there at the time of ordering and we showed the waiter our order in the menu. But mistakes happen. The steak was dry unfortunately. We didn’t enjoy it. We were told it will come with veggies and mashed potatoes so we ordered one with French fries instead of mashed potatoes and the other regular. The waiter got us the two orders with French fries.
