The worst experience in my life. I visited this restaurant with my Mom, Sister, and Niece. After I made an order, the waitress served 4 side plates and 3 setsof cutlery. I found the one of the side plates was broken.(and the edge was sharp) I asked the waitress to change the plate. • Me: “May I ask you to change the plate? It is broken.” • Her : “Most of the plates here are the same like that.“ • Me : ???? “Then you need to change all the plates. the broken plate is not safe.” But she ignored me and left the table, even before I finish my sentence. Of course she didn’t change the plate for us.
I asked once again to another waiter to change the plate, and he brought a new plate. After that, I found that we only got 3 sets of cutlery. (we were 4 people) I asked the waiter to get me another cutlery set. • Me : “Can I have one more set of cutlery?” • Him : “I already gave you the plate.” • Me : “No, I mean cutlery.” • Him : “You already have the plates.” • Me : (I thought he couldn’t understand me because restaurant was noisy, so I raised my voice.) “No, I mean CUTLERY. fork and knife.” Then, he suddenly shouted at me. • Him : “Listen! you need to respect me. I am not your slave!“ • Me : ??? (speechless)
Surprisingly, this is 100% real conversation. I was speechless because I was so shocked. After that, my niece(7 year old girl) started to cry. She was so shocked when the waiter shouted at me. My niece cried saying that ‘the guy shouted to my aunt, I am so scared’ So, my sister and my mom brought my niece out of restaurant to talk to her and to calm her down. I was alone in the restaurant while my family was outside taking care of child. At that time, the waitress came to the table to serve food, and she asked me ‘is there any problem?’ I talked to her that my child was crying because of the waiter. And I tried to explain the situation to her, but the waitress stoped me to talk. She cut me off to talk and keep saying that there was no problem. She said that there was only misunderstanding, and no problem. She never listened to me and kept repeating that there was no problem. I asked her to listen to me first. • Me : “Listen to me first please. There was problem. it is not about misunderstanding. The problem was the attitude. I didn’t do anything wrong to you. I asked to get the new plate, and I asked to get the cutlery. Is that wrong? No. The problem was his attitude. He shouted at me, and made my child to cry.” I thought she would say sorry at least, but her respond was terrible. She said that the waiter worked here for a long time and he had no problem. I was surprised that her respond and attitude. I’ve never experienced the restaurant staff shout at the customer and scold. Also I’ve never imagine for other staff to talk to me that is not a problem at all. Please don’t say that is not a problem. There are many problems of your attitude, behavior, and the way of talking. Please recognize and admit it. Both of you.
Please say sorry when the customer find the broken plate, instead of ignoring. And please exchange it. It is not a proper respond to say that ‘most of the plates here are same like that.’
Please serve the cutleries when the customer ask them, instead of upset and shouting to customer. We can’t eat anything without cutlery.
Those are very simple and basic things. I don’t understand why the staffs wanted to argue with customer. Is it difficult to change the plate? Is it difficult to bring the fork and knife? Did I ask too much?? No. Please do your job. Why are you guys make the small things to big problem?
I didn’t want to make noise when my niece started to cry. Since she already got scared of him, I didn’t want to make noise in front of her. That is why I didn’t make big complain at that moment.
However, everyone need to know. The staffs ruin the restaurant. The staffs ruin the people’s day. The staffs give the worst memory to child.
For all the people who want to go this place, please be extra careful to make conversation with staff. You don’t know when...
Read moreThe food was excellent. We also liked the staff at first, but not in the end.
We ordered tuna tataki and pulpo to share. First, we got some cod, even though we didn't order it. It was good. Next the tuna and pulpo, both exceptionally good dishes.
We told them that we were not going to have the cheesecake. They brought us the cheesecake. We told them no, very clearly; they said yes, you can have it. After we took one spoon of it, they got back "You're right, it's not yours, we made a mistake. Did you already eat it?" So, as the spoonful was missing, we said we could have it.
At this point, we were thinking that this is no coincidence anymore. Both of the extra dishes were on the bill, the same as the bread & service (you can't charge service fees in Spain). We asked about it, got yelled at, they removed the cheesecake from the bill instantly as we didn't complain about the other extras.
All in all, they tried to force us to buy over 20 euros worth of things we didn't order. Then we got yelled at when we asked about it. We didn't say anything about the cod, because we didn't say no when it came (thinking it was a compliment dish from them) and we were eating it. And we paid for it happily.
But this is a classic trick to fool the tourists. It's such a shame because the food is so good, they really shouldn't do this.
They even tried to blame me for not understanding Spanish, except that I do. He vivido aquí...
Read moreOur favourite restaurant we visited from our trip to Seville.
As soon as we arrived we knew we had found a good one. The gentleman that greeted us and served us for the entire evening was absolutely delightful. Very friendly and attentive. The place is tastefully decorated and tables spaced out well.
The food was incredible. So tasty and fresh and cooked with so much care and attention. Beautifully presented and perfect portions.
The waiter explains how the menu works and that is that they recommend 2 appetisers, 1 meat and 1 fish dish between two people. And that the dishes come out only one at a time, so that your given the time to enjoy each one on their own. I really liked this concept and it was a first for me. The raw tuna was the star of the show and the dessert of white chocolate mousse was divine.
The cocktails were some of the best we’ve ever had. Their version of the margarita (which was recommended) was a big hit for my wife who is a massive margarita fan.
The prices very reasonable for the quality and portions. We left extremely happy and full (maybe a bit tipsy too).
We have already recommended this place to a lot of people. Don’t hesitate just get it booked!
Thank you to your team for such a...
