Restaurante El Ambigú De San Francisco — Restaurant in Seville

Unfortunately my husband and I did not have a good experience at this restaurant. We ordered drinks, and main courses and a side order of French fries. The drinks and fries arrived first. 15 minutes after ordering, my husband's main course arrived without the requested salad. My food never arrived at all. I asked our waiter, "was all the food not served at the same time" and he said "no" and walked away. I repeatedly asked the waiter where my food was and he said "it's coming" and avoided coming past our table after that. 40 minutes after ordering, I still had no food. I asked the same waiter again and explained that we needed to catch a plane and to give us the bill for the food we DID get, but he shrugged and said again "it's coming". I stopped to another waiter who spoke English and explained the situation and he said it was not good enough and that he would check if my food was ready - but he never came back. We stood up to leave and a different waiter came with the bill and knocked €10 off. We left, one person having eaten and one who didn't. The waiter who served us was beyond rude, and offered no apology or regret whatsoever. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Anyone can mistake or misplace an order, but this waiter seemed to think the entire episode was nothing, and wouldn't have apologised for anyone. Horrible experience. If you want horrible deep fried and bad looking food with the worst service, go here. When you do, please enjoy the games played be the lazy male servers, and the RAW chicken. Check your bill, you’ll probably find something you didn’t order, or something you ordered but they decided to create a different dish as they didn’t have the main ingredients. And they’ll send someone else over to you to speak non stop Spanish to try and force you to pay in full, so just speak non stop English like I did until they stop ripping you off. The Caesar salad is truly terrifying. I did want the burger but ‘THE MEAT WAS OFF’. After hearing that, I just wanted to leave but the rest of the order had gone through. It was all quite disgusting really. In my expert opinion, they shouldn’t be serving food, they’re an embarrassment to Seville. This place is in my Top 5 of worst food I’ve ever had. Go to Lobo Lopez. Go to Yamazaki. Go to La Mala. Go to La Malvaloca....

Restaurant is placed in a very nice plaza, but all of the tables were dirty even though staff ‘cleaned’ them - menu is very sticky- staff behaves as the are mad at you - we ask if they can turn on the heater outside because only one was working out of 8 that were there - they did not do it - they said it’s broken??? Every?? Hmm… At the end they wanted to charge us for additional glass of wine and beer that we did not order - we also asked that we don’t want bread and the said it goes with a dish - well it’s not in other restaurants - you can say you don’t want it and they don’t charge you for it - we left it full as we don’t eat it. Wine that we order was also bad… and glasses were very small- the smallest we got during 3 month stay in spain. In terms of food - burger was good - 4.5 stars , other 2 tapas with chicken is max 4.
