After hearing recommendations from various blogs, my friend and I decided to try El Pinton for dinner. Our experience was a mix of highs and lows, leaving us with somewhat mixed feelings about the restaurant.

Starters We began our meal with three appetizers:

Rabbit Tacos: A standout dish. The flavors were well-balanced and left a positive impression. Salad: Another enjoyable starter. Fresh and tasty. Tempura Avocado: Unfortunately, this dish missed the mark. The batter was disappointingly plain, and the spice level was overwhelming, throwing off the balance of flavors. We wouldn't recommend this particular item.

Main Courses For our entrees, we chose:

Glazed Ribs: Excellent. This dish was a highlight of our meal and definitely worth trying. Tuna Tartare: While not bad, it wasn't particularly memorable. For a restaurant of this caliber, we expected something more refined and unique.

El Pinton offers a good dining experience, but it falls short of greatness. While some dishes like the rabbit tacos and glazed ribs shine, others like the tempura avocado and tuna tartare don't quite justify the price point.

The restaurant shows potential, but there's room for improvement in terms of consistency and refinement across the menu. Given the prices, we expected a higher level of culinary finesse throughout our meal.

While we enjoyed parts of our dinner at El Pinton, the overall experience didn't quite live up to the hype we'd heard. It's worth a visit if you're in the area, but be selective with your...

Highly mediocre. You won’t come out of this place highly dissatisfied, but it definitely won’t leave an excellent impression. The decoration and ambiance is beautiful, and if in all honestly deceived us quite a bit. We ordered two drinks and three entrées. The red and white sangrias are very non traditional and too sweet for our taste, but if you like that sort of thing you’ll enjoy them. The grilled squid was by far the best thing we had, very tender and had a lovely sauce. A common theme within the entrees is that they were too salty, the squid and the rice of the week being no exception. We didn’t know what the rice contained exactly, but none of the elements were harmonious, too many flavors that did not work together. Nothing had a distinct flavor, it just meshed together in a disjunction of tastes. It came with a white cream sauce that seemed unnecessary and the beef was over cooked and dry. Lastly the beef tenderloin with chimichurri was again way over cooked, hard to cut and very chewy. I don’t remember if it claimed to be grilled or not, but it definitely came pan fried with a weak sear. Nonetheless it had a good flavor palette and the side salsa was a refreshing addition. The service was standard and timely, and unlike other places in Spain the servers were polite. Overall, you can find better in Seville for way cheaper, I would not recommend but if you do find your self in the area it’s not a horrible pick. 2/5, would not...

We spent a week in Seville and eating here tonight ( our last night ) was the highlight ! Staff were welcoming friendly knowledgeable and passionate about the food and wine ( unusual for Seville in our experience ). We ordered mains and the maitre d suggested some starters for sharing - the rabbit tacos and the avocado tempura. They were absolutely fantastic - unusual and delicious and filled us with hope for the mains. When they arrived ( 2 x Pig Cheek with chickpeas, 2 x salmon, the tuna tartare and the ribs - they too were delicious - we all did that thing of “taste this - it’s great” ! The sides ( baked aubergine with cheese, padron peppers, sweet potatoes) lived up to the same high standards. The wines were reasonably priced ( €24 for Prosecco, €24 for nice Rioja Crianza and maitre d recommended to try a local wine Guindalera from Grenada which was good ). To finish we shared 3 of the warm cheesecake - a sinful delight. Heartily recommend and we will definitely visit again on...

We went here without reservation and still got a seat but it was outside, it was okay but at some point we had a lady smoking and the smoke went all over our faces, not the restaurant fault but just a mention. Wo ordered the croquetas, the tomato and burrata pesto salad, the steak tartare in a brioche and the rice of the day which had solomillo, pimentos padron and cherry tomatoes. Of al the dishes we ordered, the burrata and pesto salad had the best flavour. The steak tartare was okay.. the meat was a bit tough and the bread could be a bit thinner. The croquetas were good, with jamon iberico inside, no complains. But the rice that took some time to come, was underwhelming.. the tomato cherry on top was undercooked, the solomillo overcooked and the pimentos padron was just right, but the main part of the dish which was the rice was just OK. The restaurant seemed pretty full but in my opinion it was a bit of a touristy place.
