The restaurant is a bit "around the corner" but you can find it 😊 The decoration in the restaurant was very nice and the interior of the restaurant and the alley were well connected into a functional restaurant. 3,5/5 As an appetizer we had a mozzarella-ham-melon plate. Good and functional, but I would have liked a stronger "jamón de Parma" for the ham. For main course we took Fettucine al pesto and Pappardelle ai fungi. The pastas were good, but the pappardelle sauce was too loose for my taste and didn't stick to the pasta easily. 4/5 Then we come to the service and staff. At the very beginning, we felt that we were not welcome and after choosing the table, we moved it 30 cm because the flowers on the wall dripped irrigation water onto the table, where the tablecloth was wet. It didn't bother us, but the behavior and attitude of the male waiter was rude. Even though there were no other tables next to our table and it wasn't an obstacle for others to move around either. None of the waiters smiled and I got the feeling that they didn't want to work there. In a beautiful setting, the restaurant's atmosphere was bad, really bad. 1,5/5 With the well-being of the waiters and the change in atmosphere through it, I could give four stars, now I don't.

We found this restaurant by coincidence, and we fell for the cosy yard outside. So, we went there for dinner the following night. Unfortunately, there were not available tables outside, so we had to sit in the very small restaurant. There was a noisy family with five children, who sat with a phone a watched four different kind of You Tube videos on speaker! The parents did not care. We ordered pasta dishes. Two had the pasta with mushroom. One had the bolognese and the last one pasta with salmon. For drinks, we had white wine and water. The food was really good, and the waiter was friendly, but his smile did not reached his eyes. It was as if they were already moving on to the next guests. The space in the restaurant was quite crowded, although the seatings inside was only half full. I could not image how crowded, it would be, if alle the tables were full. The toilets were nice and clean. Because of the tiles on the floor and the concrete ceiling, it was very noisy. So, we could highly recommend the food, but make sure that you have a table outside, as the experience I a totally different one.

Ate here twice during our stay in Seville, on our first night after arriving by train and on that fated day of the massive blackout that hit Spain and Portugal. Unless you are looking for it or are stumbling through, this restaurant is hidden away in a small street separating the 2 busiest thoroughfares. It was a nice quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. After 10 days of traditional Spanish cuisine, we wanted something different. You can decide to eat outside or inside. The food was delicious. We ordered a green salad and an order of vegetables to start. The vegetable plate was cooked with more oil than we would have liked but it was still good. For our main courses, we ordered penne arrabbiata and seafood linguine. The second time, my wife ordered the same penne dish and I had the pesto linguine (forgot to take pictures as we were relieved that power returned to the restaurant 30 minutes before we arrived and happy that we would be eating a warm meal). We highly recommend il Vesuvio!!

Bad customer service and DANGEROUS food service.

We were excited by the reviews to eat some Italian food. And it seemed to be family run which we like to support.

The waiter seemed bothered as he huffed and rolled his eyes when we took our order. We thought maybe our Italian language was bad but still no need for the attitude.

Later when we received our food my partner’s pasta had a hair in it. When I called them over they took it back where I saw them discuss among each other. He came back and said it was hers and that she should eat it. I said no it is a different color and was sitting on our table for seconds. She didn’t even get to try it. They reluctantly made a similar dish to compensate for the time.

Once her food came out I began eating mine. I discovered a blue and silver metal packaging. I had veal (which was pretty good). The metal packaging was obviously not part of the meal. And as they saw me picking it out of my mouth to put it on my plate, the owner came over and laughed nervously then took it off my plate.

Their whole family was at the bar looking at us like we were at fault at first but then got distracted by the euro cup football game.

If you read the other reviews you can see this happening before so it is a trend. They will always comment buona vita because they don’t care.

No apologies, nothing. It was like they didn’t feel bad at all for their poor performance. Food was alright overall, however the service and contaminated food is not okay in any...
