Restaurante Salas — Restaurant in Seville

We arrived in Seville today and found Restaurant Savalas to be open until 5pm. We arrived at 4pm and even though most diners were finishing or leaving the staff made us feel very welcome.

The interior has a cool and airy atmosphere despite the city heat, furnished in classic Andalusian marble floor and ceramic wall tiles.

The quality of tapas and main plates were very good with a wide variety of fish meat and vegetable dishes.

We sat at the bar and chatted to the waiter who was very friendly. We would highly recommend this for lunch and although we had not tried evening dining I would guess it would also be of a high standard from looking at the menu.

I seldom give negative reviews but this one was the worst I have ever had. 1, their dishes tasted awful, way too salty and heavy, we could hardly finish few of them. They offered some cold plain bread without asking, tasted bad of course, and they charged us 1.5 euro each. Unbelievable! We didn’t ask for any, they just give it to you and add the prices to the bill. 2, They charge you more than the prices on the menu. 10% TAX IS NOT INCLUDED on the menu! Not mention their prices are already above average given the food and...

We came for trying some tapas. When the waiter gave the menu of the tapas came later saying that they had none expect for burgers. Well since we already drank and had the first aperitive we choose the burger tapas which was €3,40. The final bill showed as we had a regular burger which was €4.50. Disappointing as we were looking forward for a few tapas of special kind and ended up eating a regular burger. They were trying to say to order a regular plate and lucky I said no as the plates...
