Giolatto — Restaurant in Seville

They have unique flavors that you can't find in traditional type of gelateria in Seville. In other words, they don't have some basic flavors such as dulce de leche for example.

Location: It's located near the river, so it's nice to take away and go to the river. However, local is so clean and modern. In the night, it looks even too bright on the street with all those lights and white interior (Which is good. Clean impression).

The quality of the service: We arrived just before the closing time (without intentions! We just saw the place and decided to go in...). Even tho, they didn't say anything, not showing any attitudes of refusal and, attended to another customer too. This kind of professional service/attitude is hard to find in Spain.

I asked if there were any vegan flavours and they ran through the four flavours they had and we ordered the second biggest tub size. What they didn't mention is that the vegan flavours are also sugar free, and that the second ingredient on the list of ingredients (we checked later) was sorbitol and maltitol sweeteners, so we've now spent the rest of the evening in bed with stomach cramps. There really needs to be very clear warning of this as large quantities of sugar alcohol sweeteners commonly cause this reaction and that might not be on the radar of people who aren't...

I asked for gluten-free ice cream, but they failed to mention that their gluten-free options are also lactose-free and egg-free. I ordered hazelnut and vanilla, but the ice cream was watery, overly sweet, and lacked any real flavour. Only when I inquired about the ingredients did they clarify that it was vegan—enthusiastically adding, "que no engorda!" They should understand that those seeking gluten-free options aren’t necessarily vegan or worried about calories. There are definitely much better gluten-free...
