Tela Marinera — Restaurant in Sitges

They tried to scam us. I went for lunch here with my mother and my boyfriend (she and i are foreigners but my boyfriend is a local - this matters). We ordered a pan of paella ( about 14,90€) to share between the three of us. Like any other spanish restaurant where they serve paella, we expected to just pay 14,90€ for it. When we receive the bill we were charged for THREE pans of paella, and they argued that the price was for a single person, even though that isn’t written anywhere on the menu. After back and forth arguing and my mother asking for the manager (which never came), they decided to only charge us for two. Still wasn’t right but we were in a bit of a hurry so we settled on that.

I believe they tried to scam us since we were foreigners, but they messed with the wrong people since we’ve been living here for years and aren’t stupid. They get two stars since the paella was great. But now future visitors...

We visited Tela Marinera as alarge group (11 people) for dinner and had great experience. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, and he managed all our orders with no issues even though a person arrived late AND we don't speak Spanish well enough. I had the grilled prawns as a starter and their grilled octopus as my main dish. For drinks, I went with their dry white house wine. We also ordered tinto de verano for the table. The octopus was a bit oily but super delicious! It was well cooked and seasoned. I enjoyed my wine as well. Their portions are huge, so it's a great value for the price. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food and the service, we had a great time. It was a bit windy outside, so we preferred to stay indoors but their outside tables have a nice view of the sea. Yesterday Monday, we went to eat at this place for the first time. At first, we were a bit concerned because there was only one waitress handling everything on her own. Despite the restaurant being nearly full, we were impressed by how fast she worked, as well as her politeness, smile, and professionalism. Her service was truly outstanding despite the heavy workload. The food was also excellent — the seafood paella deserves a 10 out of 10. But what stood out the most for us was the waitress’s exceptional service and professionalism. She managed both the dining area and the bar entirely on her own.
