Stopped by The Tavern for a quick lunch. The chicken wrap was decent and the pint was alright, but the fries were unfortunately undercooked and the side salad looked a bit tired. Waitress was friendly and the setting relaxed, but the meal felt a bit rushed in execution and perhaps why it was served to me within minutes.

Gareth and the staff are absolutely brilliant. First of all there is a quiz every night. Music or General Knowledge with shot rounds. Extremely professional and great fun. Drinks are priced normally for the area. The pub food is quite exceptional. The burgers are great and the chips are 'homemade which make them extra nice. Always service with a smile. Advise to get there early to get a seat. Quiz starts at 9.30. Every time we visit PDC we are here at least 4 out of 7 nights per week. Not to be missed for avid quizzers. The staff and service was very good all day! We spent a fortune whilst watching the match and then At 6pm I was told ‘to be quiet’ due to evening meals. This would be fine but earlier the guy and girl were all Up for us not having coffee and serving good measures which constricted this… Totally unfair to welcome football in and then tell them to be quiet as soon as they win!!!!!! Imagine being in at 3.30 and coming out at 8 spending £50+ and the last half an hour being told to be quiet 🤷‍♀️🙈 after the drinks and service were so good until then!!! DONT GO...

Very disappointed in the food we ordered. All four of us had the cottage pie at €795 each so at that price we expected quality when you can get an all you each Chinese buffet just down the road. What we got was more like oxtail soup with a bit of smash in the middle & handful of chips & peas on the side. Told the staff we was disappointed for the price she just said sorry then we got over charged but sorted that. Can't review on there other food as it did look very nice when coming out just don't go for the cottage pie for four it cost nearly €32...
