Nice restaurant and contract brewery in the heart of historic Toledo. The space is extensive with several rooms below street level. A sizable menu offers modern options with classic takes on local gastronomy. For instance, their carcamusa or their assorted croquettes are notable. A good drinking menu prioritizes their Buenaventura beers, which I understand are custom contracted for them by Domus, Toledo. In addition to the drafts they offer several bottled options from Domus and a few mainstream breweries alongside other drinks and refreshments. The modern interior design is nicely done refurbishing the exposed brick spaces with flair. Nicely lit spaces include display cabinets and glass floors giving visual access to the foundations and areas with custom-made rocky textures. The main toilets are the highlight with their group of single pods and reflective mirror atmosphere attracting and amusing patrons. Staff is professional and attentive making for a pleasant experience throughout. The venue makes for a nice lunch or dinner stop while in Toledo.

Right - I cannot praise this place high enough! After a whole lot of ‘lo sientos’ for not making reservations for lunch we were lucky to get a table here after a lot of walking around. Our waiter Charles (I think he may have been Carlos!) spoke English and was very good. Four of us had Buenaventura pale ale (4!- very good) and peach juice (out of a bottle but still very good). My husband had the oxtail croquette which he said was outstanding. The avocado with tuna (bonito on the menu) pipirrana and chipotle mayo was wonderful. Roasted aubergine and zucchini was marvellous. The mussels were plump and delicious and we were tipping the bowl to guzzle up the jus! The cod was fresh and delicious. We had to try dessert - nothing traditionally Spanish but boy! that brownie with ice cream and chocolate sauce just hit the spot. Delightful experience. Definitely a good idea to make a booking

We enjoyed lunch here on wednesday, and we did not require a reservation. However, the restaurant was full. The highlight of our meal was the sangria with pasionfruit, a unique and fruity favour for a spring lunch. The huevos rotos with shrimp were amazing, along with the lambchops and fries cooked perfectly with lots of flavour. Service was fast and the wait staff was friendly and were able to help explain the typical food to our canadian guests. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a light snack or lunch if you are visiting toledo for the day. The dining hall and bathrooms were decorated in a unique and beautifully historic way. 10/10

Today, Sunday, January 8, 2017, I took a Russian family to have dinner at this restaurant that I already knew. We were always treated quite well. It seems like today they changed the staff because we were treated very poorly. We were attended by a waiter named Ivan, an arrogant and very rude young man. We arrived at 7:35 PM and asked for a table for six people. It was a family with two small children: one of two years old and another of four, plus a teenager of 15. I told the waiter if we could reserve a table for six people and he told me that the restaurant would open at 8:00. I explained that this family had a child in their arms and another little girl and if we could sit down to wait. He told me to leave and come back at 8:00 PM. It seems that this boy is blind or lacks total sensibility. Even so I asked for a table for 8:00 PM and his answer was silence. I told him I wanted to talk to the manager and he replied that he was authorized by the manager to treat people that way. We finally chose to go somewhere else. Luckily, my Russian friends did not understand the mistreatment they were being subjected to and we went to another place where we were treated with...

The food was nothing special but the service was exceptionally terrible. The sangria was so sweet and only a couple of orange slices in the jar. The Iberico grill (different pieces of pork) was very boring. The calamari was VERY dry. The small squid was the only decent dish of the bunch.

I’m not sure why but the man behind the bar (seemed to be the manager of the place) was very rude even though I was trying to be patient and pleasant. I asked him for a table for 3 and also asked him for a drink menu while I was waiting for friends. He never gave us our table until I asked again after almost an hour. If I knew the food would be so bad, we would have gone elsewhere and not be treated so rudely.

He never took our order for pre dinner drinks so I went up to the bar and he told me to wait because he was busy. I didn’t even rush him or anything. I am not going to assume he was prejudiced but he gave me the feeling I was not welcomed there. But he took our...
