HAN-U bbq buffet libre — Restaurant in Torrevieja

I have been at HAN-U 3 times- the first 2 times you can read about in my picture but this time the 3 time everything changed. We arrived at the restaurant for our reservation on the 31/07 45 minutes before. They had a table ready and everything was great and we were about to celebrate my birthday. They tell us they have got a new concept since the last time we were there so now its more buffet, perfect i think. We orders drinks and food and after 15 minutes the food comes. Without no drink. I of course ask after the drinks and they are brought. Then they serve the first courses and everything seems well off after the delaying in drinks. Then they forget to change the papers on the grill 3 times so we asked them- every single time. I think something like that is the servers job- included in review in picture of the burnt paper we grilled on. Before it got changed. Then the server asks if they can take our ipad because we can order on QR code. Of course she can. But the link on the QR code did’nt work properly so the expensive steak we wanted to order til celebrate my birthday as our final course couldn’t be ordered. We called on a waiter again for this problem. They said wait 5 minutes. After 5 minutes we called a waiter again- they said wait another 5 minutes. After 5 minutes we called a waiter for the 3rd time to try to order our celebration steak. Still wait 5 minutes. After this i told them i were done i wanted the bill and everything we had ordered should not be brought to the table. I was done at this point. We got the bill and left. Even the table besides us who saw everything tried to tell the waiters what was wrong when we left in spanish of course as i only speak English. After 2 times the standard was great but today this was some very bad service and im really disappointed. I wont be comming back for a 4th time. STAY AWAY!

I would say this is the worst restaurant I have ever visited in Europe. As a Korean, I have visited many Korean restaurants in LA, NY, Paris, and throughout Spain. This place is a joke.

As soon as I walk in, the waiters just snickered. I was given the cold shoulder. No hola or buenas noches. The waitress asked if I speak Spanish. I replied in Spanish and said yes. She rolled her eyes, set the tablet to Chinese, and asked if this is what I want. I said, "no, I don't understand Chinese." She asked for my drink order while repeating "bebida! bebida!" I don't know why she did this since I speak fluent Spanish.... She proceeds to hand me a bottle of 10 euro soju when I asked for coca cola...

Another waitress asks if I want chopsticks. I told her yes. She proceeds to give me an opened pair of chopsticks. I asked for a new pair since it was opened. She reaches into her pants, not the ones in her apron, and hands it to me. She walks away while rolling her eyes as if I couldn't see her doing it....

I ordered black bean noodles and Korean fried chicken. The noodles were flavorless, matte colored (weird), and tasted of 1000% salt. I had two chicken wings that tasted just absolutely awful. Then, on the third wing, I bit down into the wing. It was squishy, not moist, squishy. I looked at the wing, and it was pink...still partially raw.

I went home feeling sick and puked twice. After three failed attempts to call the restaurant, a waitress finally picked up. She told me the owner had already left. I went to the emergency department after puking for the third time.

Genuinely the worst restaurant experience I have ever experienced, and I could not have been more disappointed about every single aspect of this restaurant.

I was really excited to try Korean BBQ, as I had never tried it before. My friends and I waited 20 minutes to be seated, even with a reservation. After getting seated at our table, we ordered our drinks and first course, which consisted of: 4 sojus, 2 soft-drinks and a cocktail. A 4 cut meat platter, dumplings and a side of rice and corn.

We got our drinks relatively fast, but half of the drinks we ordered were not available, and had to be substituted for different drinks. The cocktail we ordered was not the one we ordered, and was delivered 30 minutes after the rest. When we went to get a new one, we were told to just drink it and sit down again.

Our 4 cut meat platter was delivered to our table an hour after ordering, and asking for it 3 times and getting the same answer. How it can take over an hour to get a plate of raw meat to a table is genuinely beyond me. While we waited for the meat the baking paper they put over the grill burned 2 times, where we had to call them over to change it. And when we finally had the food, it was tasteless and bland, and there was not even any soy sauce at the table to give any flavour.

Summery: Service was some of their worst I’ve ever experienced, food was bland and tasteless, and just terrible experience from the start to finish.
