Restaurante El Pescador — Restaurant in Torrevieja

We have chosen El Pescador for our special seafood dinner because of their high ratings on both Google maps and TripAdvisor and I must say it didn't disappoint. Now in a bit more detail. Very popular and busy, we did not book a table so waiting time for a table outside 40-60 minutes. Not a problem, they have a lovely sitting room, the one that is deeper into the restaurant. Air-conditioned and away from hustle of a busy night street. We ordered mixed fried seafood, sol lemon sauce and polpo Gallego. Flavours were perfect. The wine was suggested by the waiter and he didn't push for an expensive bottle but instead brought to try white Rioja €11 excellent choice. I have been wanting to write about this restaurant for a long time. My first visit to this restaurant was in early spring. I was fascinated by the hospitality and delicious food. My second visit to the restaurant took place in September’s evening. And already I feel sorry for 5 stars, I will put honest 3. I want to tell you why such an assessment. The food is really tasty, the portions are big. But it would take forever to try it. It took about 20-25 minutes from the moment of landing at the table until the moment, when one of the stuff comes. No one is in a hurry, but I want to eat. My next disappointment is that most of the dessert on the menu is missing. Reservamos con antelación para cenar a las 22h. El servicio fue lento, nos atendió un chico joven amable que quizás no llevaría mucho tiempo trabajando en el local. En general muy bien pedimos cazón muy rico, y una fritura también muy buena. La cantidad de ambas raciones para dos personas son perfectas. Lo peor de la experiencia fue cuando pedimos "Pulpo a la gallega" que ni de cerca se pareció, deberían corregir en la carta y explicar el tipo de pulpo que ofrecen, porque es engañoso y pagas 19€ por el plato. En mi caso nos sirvieron una especie de carpaccio de pulpo que estaba seco y salado, con muchísimo aceite y las patatas sin comentarios, algo menos duras que el pulpo, pero parecía cocinado al horno o a.la plancha. Nos sirvieron el plato y reclamamos porque era la mitad de cantidad que el 2° plato de la foto que adjunto. Reclamamos al camarero porque era irrisorio parecía una broma incluso una mesa de al lado nos miramos riéndose diciendo vaya pulpo... Y después de 20' nos trajeron de nuevo otro plato pero lo mismo... Esa especie de pulpo que no era a la gallega... con algunos trozos más de pulpo (ver foto) .. Pero igual de seco y salado... Dejamos casi el plato entero porque era incomible y nos fastidió bastante y el restaurante no tuvo el gesto ni de pedirte disculpas. No recomendable para nada este plato porque estás regalando 19€.
