Antigua Lecheria - Where sweetness becomes art and love turns into ice cream. In the heart of the city of Valencia, hidden among the alleys of Mediterranean aromas, there is a treasure that does not just sell ice cream, but experiences. Antigua Lecheria is not a shop like all the others. It is a sweet journey to childhood, a gateway to the world of artisanal taste that is born from passionate hands and loving hearts.
Each scoop of ice cream is like a frozen poem - created on site, with selected ingredients, pampered with skill and imagination. It is not only the taste that captivates you, but the story it carries - a story that begins with the preparation of the ice cream and ends in the smile of every visitor.
The staff? They are not just waiters, they are artists of hospitality. With a warmth that reminds you of old hugs and care that speaks louder than words, they make you feel at home. The love with which the ice cream is made is the same as the love with which they treat people and this love is felt in the air, in the service at every step.
Antigua Lecheria is not just a stop. It is a destination. The place where the true taste of life is restored, made artisanally and with soul. And yes - maybe I was the last to discover it, but who says that the last are not always the ones who carry the most? I am late... but I...
Read moreGood ice cream, not too many interesting choices, especially no lactose-free options except for sorbets. Also pretty unfriendly and inconsistent staff. Consider finding a better spot.
Edit for clarification: I came in with my partner. The staff claims to let you try 3 flavours before you choose. My partner got to try 3 flavours and chose two to buy. However, when I asked to try, I was denied samples in a rude manner. The staff claimed it was because of the "sensitivity of the plastic" and "saving the environment". Many ice cream places use wooden spoons for that exact reason, which they should consider if that's their concern. But plastic is cheaper, I know. I think the staff decided to deny me samples on account of my partner having tried 3, despite the fact that we're different people with different orders, let alone tastes/allergies. I was going to buy two scoops for myself as well, but ended up only buying one that I was sure in. I am lactose intolerant and my choices are limited anyway, so there's only that many samples I can try before I know how things taste like and become your regular. By denying a customer samples for such a shortsighted reason, you're denying yourself a regular and any...

They are a horrible couple. They believe it acceptable to refuse to explain to an eight year old what an unusual flavour tastes like when he asked, nor to let him taste it.
I would have accepted it and still purchased, again, but the arrogance and desire to argue from the owners has put me off.
Their ice cream is good- but they don’t deserve your money. This is not an isolated incident. I have been in this shop more than 5 times, less than 10 this year and every single time I have seen them being rude to people, frequently children.
Update: and we see below the evidence, the woman was rude to an 8 year old, the man wanted to argue when I commented "nice attitude" as I was leaving, yet they accuse the customer of being aggressive. It tells...
