Clem Cafè is an aesthetic cafè located in a quiet street in the center of Valencia. Its orange color draws inspiration from clementines and the interior is full of light. The cafe also boosts a little concept store with candles, T-shirts and their tote bags.
Food was really enjoyable and to me, the highlight of the avocado toast was the EVO oil, rich and slightly prickly in flavour. We complimented it with a poached egg that came with paprika powder and various seeds. The sourdough bread was also really nicely fermented and had a full flavour. In addition, we split a cinnamon roll that was truly delicious. It was more in the American rather than Nordics style, so if you’re used to Stockholm or Copenhagen, this is another thing - still very good though! Our coffees were also balanced and came in a really nice ceramics set. Service was attentive and friendly (despite having reminded them about the cinnamon roll that they forgot to bring us). The menu was overall very short, with limited options, but after trying them I can confirm that the few dishes they provide are really nicely executed.
Prices were okay for the savoury options, although the cinnamon roll was quite pricey, it was worth every cent! We arrived quite early for Spanish standards (around 10:00) but were lucky to be able to split a table and this place is generally full, so if you want to have a brunch inside to enjoy the interior, try to come before 12:00 at least. I recommend this place...
Read moreWe wanted to check out CLEM CAFE because the decoration looks really cute online, but arriving there was a bit disappointing since the exterior is much more aesthetic than the interior, which felt quite plain.
We sat down at the communal work table that’s very laptop friendly. The iced oat latte and iced black were really nice, standard specialty coffee house quality. What really surprised us was the carrot cake, it’s easily one of the best we’ve had not just in Spain but in general. It was beautifully presented as well, shame I didn’t take a picture of it.
Service was a bit slower than expected, but it’s a small independent cafe so that was fine.
The place is very laptop friendly with sockets around, though we didn’t check if there’s customer wifi available.
We didn’t try any of their kitchen-prepared food, but it seemed like their brunch options are popular and they looked great. They were celebrating their anniversary while we were there and had a polaroid camera set out for customers.
Overall it’s a cute spot with really good drinks and an amazing carrot cake, worth a visit if you’re...
Read moreI don’t usually write reviews, but after visiting Clem Café multiple times and chatting with the owners, I felt compelled to share my experience. This place only opened a few weeks ago, and the owners are some of the most hardworking (renovated the whole shop by their own!), warm, and dedicated people I’ve met.
Where to begin? The coffee is simply incredible. As someone who appreciates good coffee, I was impressed by their commitment to freshness—I happened to be there as they were closing, and the owner was carefully sealing the coffee beans in a vacuum bag to keep them fresh. That’s becoming really rare!
The food is equally outstanding, especially the kimchi grilled cheese, which has become a favorite of mine. The cozy, welcoming interior and charming exterior add to the atmosphere, making Clem Café my go-to spot.
Thank you and I’m wish them all the best and will continue to go there every time I’m in...
