Picture this: The vibrant buzz of Fallas in full swing, the anticipation of a delightful dinner at El Mirador, and then, a slight hiccup – a reservation mishap. But here’s where the night took a turn for the fantastic, all thanks to the superhero of the evening, Sandra Notario.
Sandra, with the calm of a seasoned diplomat and the efficiency of a top-tier manager, not only smoothed over the reservation issue but also catapulted our experience from good to unforgettable. She didn’t just find us a table; she gave us THE best seats in the house, thoughtful to the point that my little one could nestle in and catch some rest, all while we soaked in the ambiance and the culinary delights.
The word ‘thanks’ hardly seems enough for Sandra and the management at El Mirador. Their dedication turned what could have been a forgettable evening into a highlight of our Fallas celebration. It’s these moments, these acts of genuine kindness and professionalism, that truly stick with you.
So, here’s a massive shoutout to Sandra and the El Mirador team. You guys are the real MVPs of our Fallas experience. Can’t wait to come back and do it...
Read moreThe food was a total disappointment. • Oido croquettes - tasted good but nothing special • Josper lacquered salmon with citrus sauce, teriyaki and grilled avocado - the salmon was mediocre and it is a cheap fish overall, the sauce was incredible sweet and the avocado was not even grilled. It was like a 7€ max, meal that had nothing special to it • Grilled beef tenderloin with fried onion, malanga and citronella sauce - the meat should have been tender, it was very chewy and some pieces were hard to swallow or even inedible which got back on the plate • Sangria - it was the worst sangria i’ve ever had. It had some syrup added into it
Everything was very slow even though it wasn’t busy. There were a lot of empty tables. They offered free potato chips, which tasted like store-bought Lays, and some olives, but it felt disappointing to receive such low-quality snacks. Aside from the red wine, I didn’t finish anything else. Overall, I felt extremely dissatisfied for...

The paella was inedible, the chicken dry. We ordered tomato salad with tuna and it arrived as large chunks of out of season tasteless tomato with slices of tuna. Again, dry and tasteless. I let the waiter know and he just offered to comp a dessert. We sent it all back uneaten. Unfortunately we paid and tried to work it out with management the next day but the woman manager made it sound like I didn’t understand traditional València food. Instead of comping a $60 meal that had been ruined she took off the paella charge and lectured me on how their chef and restaurant were above reproach. Lesson learned. The atmosphere gets 3 stars, we at least got some photos of the skyline from the...
