DECENT BUT DISAPPOINTING - We went here thinking we would share a romantic high end cozy Japanese meal (like the description states), however we received food that looked fantastic but tasted pretty bland. The concept is refreshing but nothing to do with the description. I’ve been working in Japan for 30 years and this wasn’t a lot to do with high end sushi. The music was good and had a good vibe but was a bit loud so romantic conversations was not easy -

Also the woman who served us was miserable and very hard to get the attention of. The man who served us some dishes was really nice and inviting.

PS if you are served very sticky finger food like glazed edamame (which was the highlight of the meal) there should be something for cleaning your fingers after like a bowl of little lemon in water, when asking for it the staff were confused and didn’t offer a solution accept wiping it on a paper towel.

The sake by the glass was really below par (from a box) which shouldn’t be for the level of restaurant they suggest it is.

The design was great and the hotel looks very inviting on the whole however for the money, SLVJ is nothing to do with the quality the restaurant suggests.

Cool place, nice tunes but should be described accordingly.

Design restaurant built around a music concept that’s serving fusion sushi. Not romantic, cozy, high end.

I’m an international DJ and don’t mind DJs in restaurants but would be good to know that before hand so I know not to go for a romantic chilled high...

Yesterday 11.11.2022 group of 6 girls had reservations in Salvaje SLVJ for two hours 21:00-23:00 downstairs ( lounge zone).

Firstly air conditioner was switched on on the very cold temperature. It was such cold that people should wear coats! Lot of people complained temperature. I asked waiter twice but he couldn’t do anything and told me to talk with administrator. I came to him and received very rude and unfriendly answers that air conditioner was switched off ( that was a lie for sure)..

But the most disgusting moment was how we were kicked out from the restaurant with waiter, administrator and even guard because our time was running out. ( we had 15 minutes before 23:00)

This such an disgusting, horrible, not hospitable service I met first time in my life.

I hope that my review will be helpful for someone who is looking where to spend Friday night not to spoil your mood better to choose the other place!

Administration. My my message is to you as well. You provide...

Food is good and sometimes even very good but the prices are ridiculously expensive. The Sashimi was so small, I wouldn’t call it even a bite for 12 euros. The service is affable in the beginning but after that they start rushing you, and brought us the dishes so fast that we couldn't enjoy them. They also poured the wine in a very unmeasured way, all with the intention that you finish quickly and clear the table. Although we were promised the table until 10:30pm, already at ten the waiter informed us that we had to get up from the table. The show of the dancers that takes place every half an hour gives an unpleasant feeling of dubious clubs that I thought had already passed from the western world, and is sketchy and in no way related to the restaurant or the atmosphere. The music is of course too loud and makes it difficult to have a conversation with the people sitting at the...

We had plenty of food, which was good, good cava and great cocktails. The service was great: the waiter was lovely and the food arrived so quickly. However, the main attraction here isn’t the food—it’s the performance. As part of the dinner, a group of white dancers came out dressed in animal-print outfits, carrying sticks, dancing to “African”-style music, and featured a large rhinoceros head prop. It’s part of the restaurant’s concept but felt inappropriate. The mix of imagery and choreography leaned on stereotypes, without respect. It was offensive and treated as trendy entertainment. It's hard to make sense that this is trendy and priced like fine dining (100€ per person). I question how those types of place with cultural incentive decor and show still exist in the 21st century.

I originally found this restaurant on OpenTable, so I was unaware of the reviews already left here. I had no inclination about the "shows" that occur every half hour or so. The food looked like the picture but needed... Salt? More seasoning? It wasn't bad, I can see what they were going for, but having lived in Asia, some key spices were missing from the Asian inspired dishes. The drinks were DELIGHTFUL, and if I was meeting someone for drinks, I would recommend them. The price for the food vs the amount received was... Less than desirable, but I understand they were trying to give "upscale". If you are in the mood for something different, and you have "vacation" money (I.e. worry about it later) I recommend trying. If you are on a budget, no dice.
