La Tasqueta Valencia — Restaurant in Valencia

I am absolutely appaulled by this restaurant!

On arrival we were asked if we had booked it, was around 9pm. We said no, and were told to sit at the table outside we had already sat at. Only one table inside the restaurant was occupied.

I want to say that review is not related to the man who served us, he was attentive and apogetic.

I ordered the Entrocte, when it arrived it could have walked of the plate! I sent it back and asked for it to be well done. It came back almost as raw as before! And, to top it all off, the chef had not kept the remainder of the dish warm. My husband who ordered a fish dish was almost finished before my meal had been returned still raw in places.

When being presented with the bill, I complained again that my meat was raw. I asked to speak to the manager and was informed that he was not present. I do not belive this, there was a very smart dresed man who was very attentive to a table inside the restaurant and did nothing else all the time we were there.

When the bill was presented, I complained again and said that I was not hapoy to pay the full price for my meal. I was informed to come back tomorrow to complain and I had to pay the bill in full.

One of the worst service I have ever experienced. First of all the waiter accidentally broke the wine glass and spilled the drinks all over the table and on the food that we ordered. Incidents like this happen and that’s ok, but the thing is how do you react to your customers afterwards. This is where they failed. We didn’t get an apology for what happened or how they can make it right for us. We had to pay for everything even though the food wasn’t cooked properly and the starters which we didn’t eat completely because the waiter had spilled wine all over it. When we confronted the waiter with all these points, he wasn’t ready to accept any of them and rudely asked “what’s your problem?”. I have never had such a bad experience. Avoid...

We went here by recommendation. The shrimp starter was very good. The calamari was quite chewy - (don't get that). The ensalada valencia was good, though we requested it without the tuna because when we asked if the tuna was fresh or canned, the waiter said "canned". The lobster paella was, in our opinion, lacking in flavor. The rice tasted mostly fishy and not well seasoned, and for the price, the lobster was small. The menu showed 22 euros. The waiter said the order had to be to serve 2. We thought it was 22 euros and it turned out to be 44 euros since it was only made for 2. So why show a price of 22 euros??? Very disappointed in that.
