Las Lunas Soul Kitchen — Restaurant in Valencia

We passed by this lovely place just before the lunch time closing hour on our way to our appartement. Lucky us! A 35€ (*) menu, starting with a lovely artichoke salad and the tastiest shrimp croquettes ever. Followed by a truly amazing duck fidéua. And an Irish coffee ice cream as a perfect ending to a superb lunch. Or wait, no, the carajillo coffee was the ending. Oh no, the mistela on the house was the actual ending. Needless to say we had an amazing time at Las Lunas. The food was outstanding, the wines by the glass of a rarely seen p/q value and the service was super friendly and impeccable. Our waiter even translated the whole Spanish menu in English for us. We most definitely recommend this gem!

I came here for a group meal and found it all disappointing. We'd all had to order in advance because there were 24 of us. Fair enough. Something may have gone wrong in translation but many of us didn't get what we'd ordered. The service was chaotic. There was confusion as to whether the wine had been included in the prepaid price - we'd been told it was - but then we're charged for wine and water. The main course was very salty and most of the group left a lot of it. The restaurant itself looked nice but was very echoey and it was hard to hear anything other than the person sat next to you. Absolutely amazing experience and value for money! For 17 EUR, we got a three course meal - a melon soup, a catch of the day and a desert of choice. The meals were not only very unique and original, but also super tasty! Every bite was a pure joy and the portions were also more than sufficient in size! The service was also impeccable and super frendly. The restaurant had menu in both Spanish and English (which is not that often in Valencia) The waiter explained every dish on the menu and made sure we feel as comfortable as possible. Definitely...
