Would loved to have given this five stars because the food is top quality, delicious and beautifully presented. Staff are super efficient and pleasant and the restaurant itself is lovely. They are deserving of at least 4.5 stars. However.... There were no vegetables served with our main course and there were none on the menu either. Also our waiter did not point this out to us. Would loved to have had some broccoli or carrots at a minimum.
We also discovered that the locals were being offered items off the menu, including much to our dismay, scallops. We both LOVE scallops and would definately have ordered these had we known they were available. Maybe the vegetables were also off menu?
Why not have the off menu items on a Specials board instead so they are visible and accessible to all? Also why not have a list of Sides (incl vegetables) in the main menu or at least have the waitor check if you need any sides?
It's such a shame that tourists are treated differently to locals when it comes to choice. Makes me feel quite sad really.
Saying all this, I would return again, better prepared, knowing what I now know. It is after all well...
Read moreHoly! Just got back from this restaurant and I can't believe how much they made my family and I feel unwelcome. First we were not dressed appropriately my fault I didn't know. Second I didn't make reservations. But we were ordering a good amount of food (3 tapas, 3 drinks and 2 main meals, plus we would have ordered more). First they said they were completely full except for one table inside, we were cool with that until a different couple came and they offered them 3 different tables they also didn't have reservations... This was fine we were happy to sit where ever. They brought out bread, which watch out because it is not included in the meal and this is the only restaurant we have been at where this has been the case. They didn't bring us the other tapas that every other table got. We ate our calamari (which was delicious) I would not recommend the croquettes. And left as quickly as we could because of the atmosphere. Sad because we would have ordered a couple more drinks and dessert. Also we were charged a 10% service fee which they did...
Read moreWe had the absolute pleasure of dining at Aduana in Valencia, and it was so exceptional that we returned for a second night in a row! From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere that truly captured the essence of Mediterranean dining.
The food? Simply outstanding. We focused on seafood tapas, and every dish was a masterpiece—fresh, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavor. From the delicate textures of the octopus and prawns to the rich, savory flavors of the grilled squid and fishes, each bite was a delight. The main courses continued to impress, featuring the freshest seafood cooked to perfection.
Beyond the incredible cuisine, the service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. The ambiance was equally charming, striking the perfect balance between lively and cozy, making it an unforgettable dining experience.
