Restaurante Marrakech — Restaurant in Valencia

The decor is nice, and the food was not bad, but the customer service was absolutely unacceptable. My friends booked a table for 6 but only 5 of us made it because life is life and not always everything works out. I was not hungry and as I am not the biggest fan of the restaurants cousine I was planning on sharing a plate with my partner. When we got to ordering the waiter (a young guy) kept interrupting our questions and was very rude to take our order. When me and my partner ordered one of the set menus waiter asked what the other one would like and we said we will share. He started ,in a very rude and unpleasant way ,to tell us that i have to order my own meal because we had booked for 6 people and now only 5 came and that i have to order because to book for 6 and only 4 eat he won't accept. Which for me felt very rude especially the way he had said it. Because I didn't want to cause problems for the rest of my company I ordered my set menu (outside it says €10 but after you sit down it gets changed to €12 because it is the weekend). The menu consisted of started, main, dessert and traditional tea. The starter for 5 people was brought in 2 dishes. But the portion was extremely small. 2 table spoons of hummus for 5 people isnt enough. We had in total 5 things to taste (Not properly eat because it was one piece each or 1 table spoon of amount between 3 people depending on the item) the restaurants cousine is supposed to be eaten with bred. When waiter brought us the starter we asked for bred which was brought 10 minutes later when we were almost finished. When the main arrived we asked for bred again which was never brought to us at the end. Dessert felt like the biggest joke. For a dessert we were brought traditional tea which was nice with 12 cookies between 5 adults. I am sorry but that is not a dessert. I felt very cheated. Even though I must admit that the food was nice and tasty (my entire company enjoyed it) I had never been spoken so badly in a restaurant from the staff. The mood for the whole night was killed. So, the first time we came was so much better than this time. We had reservations at 8:30 pm, and we were the first people there. First people there, but last to be served. Four other groups came in, and were all served while we waited wondering what was happening. At 9:15 pm, finally we went and got the server. Mind you, the only server who now had like 10 tables full by herself. We had a Groupon (for 4 people but had only 3) for this set menu, but the items on it were not what we actually got. And in the end, we had to ask for the last item “to go” because we had been sitting there waiting having long finished our food and drink (we would have gotten more to drink but the server never came again). And the bill was surprising. $4 for a few pieces of bread to eat the hummus and other dips with. It was just frustrating to feel overcharged and deceived and then to wait so long while the other tables seemed to get attentive service. Ganamos un cupón de té y dulces que consistía en te moruno con hierbabuena y cuatro dulces a elegir o dos crepes. Cuando llamamos para hacer la reserva que ponía horario de 18h a 20h de jueves a domingo,nos dijeron que se podría reservar solo de 17h a 18h o a partir de las 20h,accedimos a reservar a las 17h. Cuando llegamos al lugar a las 17:02h porque nos costó mucho aparcar el local estaba cerrado y en el cartel ponía que cerraban de 17:00 a 20:00. Llamamos al número fijo indicado y la chica nos dijo que a lo mejor habíamos tardado y el chico se había ido, le dije que eran las cinco y seis minutos y entonces me dijo que habían tenido un problema que ella se había quemado la mano y se había ido al hospital y le había dejado a el y después de preguntarle que solución me daba me dijo que estaba en ese momento en urgencias, cosa que me pareció rara si contesta a un teléfono fijo, al final quedamos en ir a las 20:00. Cuando colgué el teléfono apareció otra pareja que habían reservado igual que nosotros y habían pasado a menos cuarto y estaba cerrado cuando la chica le llamo le dijo que tenía que ir a las 20:00 sin darle ningún tipo de explicación. A las 20:00 acudimos y vimos a toda la plantilla y no había nadie con el brazo vendido ni con ningún tipo de quemadura y vimos a la mujer que había hablado con nosotros por teléfono y tampoco tenía nada. Nos sentamos en mesa de nuestra elección ya que el local estaba vacío y al ratito nos trajeron una tetera con dos vasos uno de los cuales estaba picado y los dos con poso de té sucio en el interior y un platito de dulces sin preguntarnos lo que queríamos, cuando teníamos opción a elegir. Mi pareja fue a cambiar los vasos y le dijeron que eran todos así porque no se podía poner LEJILLA porque se corroe el dibujo del vaso,cosa que me sorprendió porque esta prohibido usar ese producto para la limpieza de utensilios para la alimentación. Nos dieron otros vasos un poco más limpios los cuales están mostrados en las fotos de abajo, los cuales limpie con una servilleta que robe de la mesa de alado porque nosotros no teníamos puestas y salió un montón de suciedad que os mostraré, no creo que con una esponja y lavavajillas no se valla si con una servilleta se fue todo. Cuando llegamos a probar el té, yo que bebo mucho al único que me recordó fue al té de disolución rápida y lo que si que tenía es un montón de ojos de hierbabuena. Los dulces estaban bien, pero en mis viajes los he probado mucho mejores,pero tampoco pongo pegas en los dulces. La decoración del local a primera vista esta bien, pero los asientos son incómodos y el decorado no es de gran calidad. Había un hombre muy sonriente cuando nos estábamos yendo lo cual agradezco, me hubiera gustado que me hubiera atendiendo él la verdad. No recomiendo el local, primero por la falta de responsabilidad y por la falta de detalle al cliente. He visto la carta y es un poco cara para ser lo que es el restaurante, pero no se si merece la pena la comida. Espero que comentéis como ha sido vuestra experiencia...
