Tony Roma's — Restaurant in Valencia

Edit: ha, just noticed all their FAKE REVIEWS too. Just look at how many reviews there are where its the ONLY review of that account. ;) or couple reviews, few words, no capital letter in the name, no profile picture.

Firstly, there was meant to be an event here. Trivia night. Not only did it not happen, but staff did not know about it. Then we decided to stay for dinner anyhow. The first 40 minutes AFTER opening the staff was setting tables and doing all kinds of tasks walking around. AFTER opening. So you felt more like in someone's kitchen than able to have a nice time. Then one lightbulb was set incorrectly, meant to shine into the wall art, but it was twisted and instead shone into your face. I asked if i could rotate it, and the staff said he 'will ask the boss". And the boss said no. 😀 So then we were going to switch tables and they blocked more than half of the restaurant as saying 'its not busy enough'. However, tables were set there, and there was way too much staff actually. 5 pelple non stop dilly dallying around you, again, not a pleasant environment to be in, felt like in a busy shopping mall. And the food was 4/10. Very dry and definitelly NOT american portions how it claims on the menu, normal size like any Spain restaurant. But it's mostly about the environment, was not pleasant at all, neither were the staff, and apparantly not...

Unfortunately we had a poor experience - it was my birthday and a large group arrived at the same time as us when the restaurant first opened. Our food took more than 1 hour to arrive and when it did the ribs were still cold. We had to send this back and wait even longer.

Also I had to go and ask about 5 times to be served for a drink refill or to get extra items like napkins etc. the staff were mostly standing at the bar by the entrance talking so it was not like they were super busy in with the group either.

The biggest let down was I had ordered desert for my family and I to share and celebrate my birthday and they also forgot about this. We had been there for several hours and did not wish to wait again for them to go back and prepare this.

Unfortunately based on this experience we will not return and I advise...

Went in for lunch here on Friday with 3 friends. I work upstairs so figured that an hour to have lunch was more than enough. I was wrong. The whole restaurant at lunch had only 1 poor kid serving. Some girl would come out randomly to help. The food came out 2 starters at a time ever 40 min. So while we all ordered the daily lunch specials I only had some potatoes before having to leave without finishing lunch. Quite horrible. I do not blame the serving staff.. whoever is in charge of this location needs to either hire or learn about staff levels. Also presentation for the price was quite poor and the food was average at best. For the same price I'll go to Fosters or HardRock where at least the service and quality...
