A beautiful restaurant in a beautiful location. The restaurant is well decorated with the theme matching the Marina atmosphere. Food was fairly pricey, however everything seemed to be cooked fresh. There was also lots of flavour that was packed into the food.
The one slight let down was the service. All of the Waitors and Waitresses were pleasant but the service did not quite match the prices. We had a toddler with us and there was no engagement with him at all. This was surprising given that they offered a Children's menu. It also took ages before someone took our drink order and the service lacked a few smiles. No-one checked to see if the food was okay until after the meal (When paying the bill) and no-one checked to see if we wanted any more drinks. Given it is a premium restaurant, I would have expected the service levels to be slightly better. One nice touch was that they brought out a small starter with compliments from the kitchen. This was of great quality, however not all at the table could eat this as there was a couple of vegeterians. When this was explained to the Waitor, there was no alternative offered. I wouldn't have expected much but a bread roll could have been brought out or something to ensure that the vegetarians were accommodated for. If dietary requirements was asked in advance then it would have been better and everyone could have enjoyed a nice gesture from the kitchen.
We would recommend but a couple of improvements...
Read moreThis is the latest addition to the Marina Rubicon in playa blanca. A modern French brasserie is what they defined themselves by. I walked at around 930 our table was set, We were greeted by the headwaiter or at least that’s what it seemed like. We started with some breads steak tartar, Mushroom croquettes and prawn Marnier, which were absolute lush. For our mains, we had a steak rigatoni and caviar pasta, which was the best pasta I’ve ever had the soul meuniere. Each dish was crafted with such art and simplicity we will definitely be back again. We Were quite full for dessert so we just ordered one to share which was the crème brûlée. Oh my God the passion fruit sorbet was just the perfect balance out to that dessert it was absolutely brilliant… The atmosphere of this restaurant is of a French little garden, It is such a nice place to be in with great...
Read moreBeautiful setting and decor looks great, Menu choices read well, service friendly enough when got them but not organised and timings out everywhere. Starters were both good. Not impressed at the mains. Steak very fatty (much of it unedible unless like entire mouthful of fat) but bits that were edible were nice. Hake was overcooked which meant really dry by time eating second half and the veggies it was with were over cooked too so lacked crunch needed that makes them good (too long under lights in kitchen?) We did mention how fatty steak was but no response from restuarant and it was obviously not a good piece of meat. Cost enough no excuse for serving that piece of meat or overcooked hake and stir fry. Maybe unlucky. Signs kitchen and serving staff can't cope when busy? Few changes and could have been different but not a good...
