Restaurante La Cocina de Colacho — Restaurant in Yaiza

This is an overdue review but much needed. I had such an amazing experience from beginning to end with La Cocina de Colacho. Before we even arrived, I reached out because I had some questions about food allergies and concerns prior to making reservations, and the customer service and immediate detailed response from Mrs Anabel Távara were so helpful and reassuring. After her responsiveness, I was excited to set up our reservations, which she was also able to assist with. We were staying about 45 mins away, and I was hoping the ride was worth it, and it definitely was. Each item had something special about it and it was like just when you thought you've tasted something that couldn't be beat, you would receive your next serving which fired up your taste buds all over again. IF we had any complaints, it was the fact that the menu is a tasting menu, and we wanted MORE!! Lol The family were all involved and welcoming, and it was so nice to meet them all. Each dish was made with warmth and heart. The food was fresh, and several of the ingredients were from their family garden. The presentation of each dish was beautiful. Even the aesthetic of the restaurant, along with the food, were all creative works of art They are open Monday through Thursday, 18.00 (6 pm) to 22.00...

My husband and I have been to some incredible Michelin Star restaurants and this is up there at top of my list!

This beautiful family run restaurant not only serves absolutely mouthwatering food, they serve their food with a passion and beauty I’ve never seen before. Greeted with the biggest of smiles by one of the Son’s (Colacho Junior) we were made to feel part of their extended family immediately. Annabelle (a fabulous artist and mother & wife) then shared the front of house experience to ensure our every need was met.

In the kitchen Colacho Senior works his magic accompanied by his eldest son and daughter. A passion of his that clearly shows in the presentation and taste sensation of his immaculate dishes.

I have fallen in love with the spirit and energy of this incredible family as they share their hearts and talents with us for a few hours.

This is an absolute gem. by far the best intimate cosy and welcoming restaurant i have ever walked into. booking is essential. does not open all week long. The Chef Senor Colacho can be seen in any part of his restaurant, as he calmly produces some if not the best plates of food i have ever tasted . This is a taste buds heaven of mitcheln star standard food to look at and taste and enjoy. a fine selection of wine for all budgets . the environment is a visual delight of art and installations. By far the best bespoke restaurant on the island. do not let the opportunity pass you by .I say this with total honesty no favoritism because the chef is producing the finest food from Lanzarote, or his wife who displays her art on the very walls of this restaurant, art that is worthy of being on the walls of the top museums of the world.
