La Bendita — Restaurant in Zaragoza

Such a cute atmosphere. Ecclectic chairs, sofas, tables and lamps. No two alike. Comfy and relatively quiet. Coffee, croissant, tortilla and herbal tea for 6.50€ (our hotel was charging 13€/person for breakfast.) Mostly dessert type options. The rooibos tropical is the best I have had. Coffee was a bit 'American'. Based on comments below, what is great about frequenting small eateries in Spain is that they speak Spanish!!! Why should they speak anything else? The atmosphere is by far the best. The food is mediocre and the coffee isn't very good. 2.40€ for a cappuccino bendito, it tastes like instant coffee and it wasn't hot. A fleck of cocoa powder on too doesn't make it any better....

The tortilla was a disgrace, dry, cold and flavorless. It looks like it was purchased in a supermarket. At 9.15h (early in the morning) the waiter was going to put it in the microwave, what a disaster!

El sitio es súper bonito, muy agradable para pasar la tarde y las tartas que tienen están muy buenas. Es un poco caro pero también hay que tener en cuenta que pagas un poco el sitio... Lo único malo es que debido a la fama que ha ido ganando está siempre lleno y hay mucho ruido. Ahora bien, le pondría 5 estrellas si no fuera por el servicio. El otro día pedimos un café, y cuando lo trajo, mi amiga le dijo si podía cambiarle el azúcar por la sacarina, a lo que el camarero contestó "pues te esperas y si me lo hubieras dicho antes te lo habría traído ya". Sin comentarios... Por lo demás bien. ACTUALIZACIÓN: Volvimos el otro día y he decidido bajar a 1 estrella debido a la pésima atención. Tenían el establecimiento lleno y tan solo un camarero atendía a las mesas. Estuvimos 20 minutos esperando a que nos atendieran y como no venía nadie nos acercamos a la barra, pero el camarero no nos dejó pedir ahí, así que volvimos a esperar de nuevo. Tras comprobar que el camarero de la sala atendía antes a gente que había llegado mucho más tarde y que encima hasta un caracol iría más rápido, decidimos irnos a otra cafetería (yo entiendo que estuviera el solo para todo el local, pero cuando tienes a tanta gente hay que meterse un poco de caña, o al menos fingir que no te da igual). Si dejo mi dinero en un establecimiento, al menos que sea porque los trabajadores se lo merecen, porque para pagar 3 euros por un trozo de tortilla precocinada prefiero dárselo a los que se dejan el espinazo por ofrecer un buen servicio y...
