⚠️ BE AWARE! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS RESTAURANT ⚠️

We visited this restaurant expecting a smooth experience, but it turned into a frustrating ordeal. They advertised a 20% discount for Mintpay, so we asked in advance if there were any limits. The staff confidently assured us there weren’t.

However, when it was time to pay, the discount didn’t apply because there was actually a 1,000 limit—something they conveniently failed to mention. When we questioned them, they claimed ignorance and refused to take responsibility for Mintpay’s offer.

As a result, we were forced to pay around 20K extra. We spoke to the cashier, manager, and even the GM, but none of them provided a reasonable explanation or took accountability for their misleading communication.

❌ To make matters worse, the manager, Mr. Raheem, had the audacity to say that our money was “haraam” (forbidden, unlawful, or impure). This is highly offensive and completely unacceptable towards paying customers!

💬 How can a business operate when its own staff and management are unaware of the terms and conditions of their own payment methods? This is both unexpected and unethical.

⚖️ According to Sri Lanka’s Consumer Affairs Authority Act, it is illegal for businesses to engage in misleading or deceptive communication or to make false claims regarding the price, quality, or terms of their services. (lawnet.gov.lk)

🚨 BE AWARE OF THEIR SERVICE! The lack of responsibility, poor management, and unprofessional behavior make this a place to avoid. Think twice before visiting!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Abid’s Restaurant in Sri Lanka, and it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. Specializing in Indian cuisine, this place has truly mastered the art of delivering authentic and mouth-watering dishes.

From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. The decor is elegant yet cozy, making it the perfect spot for both casual meals and special occasions.

Our culinary journey began with their iconic Kunafa, and it was nothing short of a revelation. The balance of sweetness and texture was impeccable, making every bite a delight. Moving on to the main course, we indulged in the mutton biryani, which was, without a doubt, one of the best I have ever tasted. The rice was perfectly cooked, the mutton was tender and flavorful, and the spices were expertly balanced to create a symphony of flavors that danced on our palates.

A special shout-out to our service provider, Shashi Kumar, who made our dining experience even more memorable. His recommendations were spot on, and his attentive service ensured that everything was executed perfectly. Shashi’s knowledge of the menu and his dedication to providing top-notch service truly set the bar high.

This place is a must for those who love authentic Arabic and Indian food!! 😋The food was fantastic! Absolutely loved their super flavorful Mutton Mandi, their amazing and rich Haleem, Chicken Biryani (a proper yummy Chennai style Biriyani with Brinjal gravy & Raita), their creamy Mexican Plate Shawarma, Shawarma Roll, Murgh Malai Kebab and Bread Halwa!! They were all too good!! The Mandi rice alone had so much aroma and flavor and the Mutton in the Mandi Rice was extremely juicy and flavorful!! As someone who usually likes Beef and doesn’t eat Mutton i was pretty hesitant to try it! But their Mutton changed my whole opinion! I tried it for the first time and I must say that their Mutton definitely tasted better than Beef!! 😋 Their service was on point too!
