It may look like a small place for some but they really serve some of the best Arab food in Colombo.They are reknown to the foodies but unknown to many. Besides the taste and texture of the food is remarkable. They serve good Mandi, BBQ,Kebabs, naan and Shawarma with there own twist to say the most. Very affordable prices and great quantity. They do have a seating in the ground floor but don't have a seating in the first floor which means you'll have to sit in the floor and start eating. A typical Arab way of eating the food. But Wait!! do remember that, coz your are seated in the floor you may not feel how much you eat, the taste may make you forget it. It's a great place for families and friends get together. They have a limited area so better visit early. Also remember they don't accept credit or debit cards but only cash. You'll hardly know it worth a visit once you eat. Eat !! Eat !! And eat!! Forget the order of the world.

We had Half chicken BBQ Biriyani & Curd salad for lunch. The food was okay and sales staff seems friendly. Since myself and husband are not good eaters, we asked the waiter to pack it for us. We didn't even touch one piece of chicken and ate only a small portion of one piece. The waiter took it inside to the kitchen and handed over us the packed food to take away. It was very DISSAPOINTING to see that they have taken out all chicken (Both the entirely untouched portion and what is left from the other chicken part). Its a shame to see ONLY RICE and salad packed when we came home to eat. We were starving and its disgusting to eat only rice with salad which was packed by them. We have never ever encountered such CHEAP ACTS from any restaurant in Sri Lanka & its a shame on you "Hadramout Restaurant"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its not a simple ignorance or carelessness of employees but an act of a very cheap cheating. We have paid Rs. 2,500 rupees for BBQ Chicken Biriyani and it was only rice when they parceled. And Its even funny we thanked the staff for the service not knowing they do such cheap acts when packing food. LOL Hope the management would see this COMMENT and ensure that other customers would not face a similar disappointment. I have included pictures of bill and the initial food plate. Please don't disappoint customers with cheap acts!!!! Never Ever Recommend this place to anybody.........

I am sorry but today when i visited the restaurant the standards has drastically come down. The Naan Roti is more or like a papadam. Unlike on previous occasions they didn't serve the full naan but has cut it into so many pieces. Very strange. Even the BBQ portion is not at all hot. The served BBQ dish was cold. Doesn't have any taste at all. I remember everytime when we visit Hardramout Restaurant the food was served hot hot. But its NO MORE. I checked with the steward whether the chef has changed he said not the chef but the management has changed. I will rethink more than thrice before stepping to this restaurant. Even the cleanliness has dropped to below the level. Both the toilet seats were completely damaged. The Management doesn't care a hoot to make replacements which will not cost more than Rs 2,000/-. They are interested only in making money. PLEASE RECONSIDER BEFORE VISITING!!!!!! Doesn't deserve even one star but unfortunately google map lacks zero rating!!!

Overall the food was norm... The BBQ chicken was good but yet the chicken was with skin.... A good place for friends/family. There service was good... Affordable prices with good quantity. They give us our order quick and its warm at the same time, so I loved that. Middle East type sitting was also there. It would be much more appreciated if they can give us some spicy red gravy..., because Normally most of us would like it... They don't accept card payment!!! If i would rate this place , I would give 08 out of 10 Very recently I visited and they have newly made up there interiors and that's way more better than the old shop...

I come to this restaurant every time I’m in Colombo Always has great food. I love their chicken but this time it was not hot and a bit dried out We still enjoyed our meal My husband and I had chicken biryani, naan bread as they had no parata, curd salad, and onion salad It’s still a great feed at the Hadramout Restaurant in Colombo Sri Lanka We will be back again who was service crew he's not smile not welcome he take oder from far a way the owner should tell them how to impress the customer service then this will be a more people going to come and enjoy there meal

Best Mandi rice place in the town. Prices are reasonable. Middle eastern style of dine in arrangement such as seating on the ground and eating from the sawan in the first floor. Good place to try “Mandhi” even better if you go with a group. Negatives: No parking facilities. Had to park on the road side which is also, really a frustrating task. Parking is a severe issue. At least in the day time. Average and compact interior and not a great ambience.
