From the moment the elevator doors opened, Virticle by Jetwing felt like a hidden sanctuary above the chaos of the city. This isn’t just dinner—it’s a masterpiece in motion, suspended 30 floors high.

The ambience alone could earn five stars. Candlelit tables, live jazz floating through the air, and floor-to-ceiling views of the Indian Ocean made it feel cinematic. We arrived at golden hour—absolutely magical—and stayed until the skyline sparkled beneath us.

But it’s not just about looks. The menu is a love letter to Sri Lankan flavor with global flair. I had the roasted butternut squash soup followed by the honey-glazed pork belly—both flawless. My partner's homemade linguine with seared prawns was delicate but deeply satisfying. The food presentation alone was worthy of a fine art gallery.

And then—the cocktails. Hands down, some of the best in the country. The "Saaravita" was unlike anything I’ve had before—arrack, coconut, lime, and smoky spices in perfect harmony. Every drink was imaginative but balanced. The bar team clearly knows their craft.

What truly sealed the night, though, was the hospitality. Our server, Chethani, was thoughtful, warm, and knew the menu like a storyteller. She timed everything to perfection and gave us personalized recommendations that made the evening even more special.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY PAYING FOR THEIR DATE NIGHT ARRANGEMENTS!!! Undoubtedly the place has a great view and a nice atmosphere. But had one of the worst experience with over pricy food and service. We have been regular customers at jetwing premises around the country and have chosen most of their restaurants for private events and functions.

Unfortunately we had to pay extra for their date night arrangements plus a parking fee. That was ridiculous.

I specifically questioned and got confirmed with the lady who took in the reservation that they have their own parking area at level 7 but i was asked to pay a parking fee at the entrance. And i categorically stated and got confirmed that I will be able to have a privat, romantic fine dining experience .But from the minute we got seated the staff were accompanying people to the area we were seated and opening and closing the doors to get out to the windy balcony every single minute which ruined the whole arrangement I paid for and made it a mess. Private and romantic dining my foot.... totally disappointed with the service and staff. When I informed the manager he said we can't say no to people who always open the doors and go to take pictures so we can't help. I understand that people come in to get the experience of the scenic view and all but you shouldn't make it a complete disturbance and a nuisance to other customers who infact paid extra for a cozy dining experience . Either you should clearly state this when taking in reservations or arrange a different area for this. Totally...

Virticle by Jetwing is an absolute hidden gem in the heart of Colombo — perfect for a romantic date night or special celebration. The ambiance is elegant and intimate, with soft lighting, warm interiors, and romantic saxophone music playing in the background that set the tone beautifully.

I went with my partner to celebrate his birthday, and everything from the service to the food was impeccable. We started with the shrimp soup and crispy Nelum Ala salad — both incredibly fresh and flavourful. For mains, we had the freshwater jumbo prawn and Rankahawanu — each dish was rich in taste, beautifully presented, and perfectly portioned.

The staff were warm, attentive, and highly professional. I had discreetly handed over a candle earlier and asked them to bring it out with dessert — they executed it perfectly, surprising my partner while playing “Happy Birthday” in the background. It was such a lovely, thoughtful touch.

Special thanks to Shan, the supervisor, who treated us to coffee and cashew ice cream on the house — it was creamy, aromatic, and a wonderful way to end the meal.

The views of Colombo from the restaurant are absolutely breathtaking, and after dinner we were able to step out onto the balcony and even enjoy the deck area, which had a lively, relaxed vibe — perfect for those who want to continue the evening in style.
