Sen-Saal Havelock — Restaurant in Colombo

Terrible. I ordered 1 Seafood fried Rice and 2 iced coffee at 1.25 pm. I paid at 1.33 pm. I got my food at 2.15 pm after asking about my orde for 2 to 3 times. Sanjeewa who was wearing a blue colour shirt told me that they got busy. But I noticed people who ordered after me having their meals.(according to sanjeewa others are their customers but I'm not. That's why he wanted me to tolerate this) I'm not worrying if they have to cook and serve , but which I ordered was there at the set up. But they delayed to serve it to the table.Finally I got very cold food,which is not we are expecting from Sen Sal. Around 1.40 pm I paid rs 540 for 1 pineapple juice and orange juice. But the cashier girl refused to give me a bill she said she will take care of this order. But I got my order less than 10 min. Even the wash room was terrible. Floor of the dining area is very bad.

It seems that the owners of SenSal have forgotten all about this branch; it looks like an abandoned construction site with masonry in some parts of the shop. The floors, walls, doors are stained and dirty and the upstairs is not ready for customers with the furniture in disarray and the a/c not on and when switched on, not blowing cool air. The food was unceremoniously dumped in front of us on this sticky table. I chose chicken lasagna which was clearly marked at a particular price, when I went to pay I was told that was the price for half the displayed portion! The prices for everything else was displayed the same so I asked if that applied to all the other items, and the answer was no. The service is horrible. Except for the boy who served the food all others including the manager has no smile. They look very annoyed and behave as if they are doing us a favour. Cashier girl is very rude. Food was very cold and the quality was very low. Inhouse customer has to pay first and carry with him the bill and the table number upstairs to the restaurant so that the waiter identifies the table. Very bad experience.
