I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sake Colombo by Tsukiji Uoichi with my wife and two kids, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish. As a lover of Japanese cuisine, I had high expectations, and I'm thrilled to say that every aspect of my experience exceeded them.

From the moment I stepped through the door, I was warmly greeted by the attentive staff, who provided impeccable service throughout the Lunch Buffet. The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting, with a perfect blend of modern elegance and traditional Japanese charm.

Now, onto the food – it was simply outstanding. Each dish was expertly crafted with the freshest ingredients, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Whether it was the delicate sushi rolls, the flavorful sashimi, or the perfectly grilled yakitori skewers, every bite was a culinary masterpiece. What truly set Sake Colombo apart, however, was the attention to detail and commitment to excellence demonstrated by the chef. Excellent customer service and delicious food. It's located in Independence arcade Colombo 7. One of the top class Japanese restaurants in Sri Lanka. We had the oyakadon and katsudon. Loved the katsudon, texture and the flavors were top notch.

Prices were a bit in the higher range but completely justified by the quality, flavor and the attention to detail. Service was good, the staff were both very welcoming and attentive.

Atmosphere was calm and quiet, may be we went on a less busy day.

Overall it was a good experience, Highly recommend as a place to visit for people who love japanse cuisine or wanted to try a unique experience.

Awesome Chicken Katsu Don.... well cooked with awesome flavor.... Sushi was ok.... M wife loved the california roll.... Avocado Tempura was good too .... bt the Avocado itself wasnt ripe enough.... was bitter. Great Service... and great setting... Highly recommended. Coffee Jelly Dessert was spectacular!

Neat little authentic Japanese restaurant located in Independence Arcade Colombo. They have a variety of Japanese dishes to try out, including a range of sushi. Service was absolutely delightful as they made me feel very welcome and gave a top notch customer service throughout the dining experience. We visited this restaurant for lunch buffet and unfortunately, my experience was quite underwhelming. While the staff were friendly and accommodating, the food did not live up to expectations, especially considering the price.

Firstly, the variety of dishes offered was extremely limited. For a buffet that starts at 12 PM, we arrived at 12:15 PM, only to find that the chicken sushi dish was already finished. It took another 15-20 minutes for it to be refilled with just 10-15 pieces. To our dismay, by 12:30 PM, the 'chicken sushi' board was removed and no more chicken sushi was served for the remainder of our visit.

The quality of the food was also disappointing. The sushi, a highlight for many, was not tasty at all. The rest of the offerings were also not worth the price we paid. It felt like a complete waste of money.

I have noticed some good reviews for this restaurant, which were probably influenced by the staff requesting positive feedback from diners. While the staff's friendliness is commendable, it does not make up for the subpar food quality and limited variety.

In conclusion, despite the good service, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on the food and overall value for money. There are better dining options available that offer both great food...
