Terrible Experience – Avoid This Place

Had a previous good experience there and went back for a family dinner. I gave them the chance for the first time for a below average service and paid the price for it this time. Wow what a disaster it was.

Sailors Flavors was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.

We waited almost 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us and had to call for a waiter ourselves. Then, in a total mess, two different staff members took our order separately—and both times they got our drinks wrong. When we even asked them to write it down instead of relying on memory, they insisted they remembered perfectly. In the end, we got drinks we didn’t order, and the drink we did order was flat and warm, even though we asked for it chilled. When we pointed it out, they left it on another table and only replaced it after we pushed for it. No apology—just bad attitude.

The worst part came after they repeatedly told us our food was being prepared. Nearly two and a half hours later, we asked again and were told that the rice—the main thing we ordered—hadn’t even been started because they were out of gas. For hours, they lied to us while we waited.

We left hungry, frustrated, and shocked. On top of that, they charged us full price for the messed-up drinks. Zero apology and no explanation.

I recently visited this restaurant for a small gathering after seeing many positive reviews on Google. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. The atmosphere was delightful with a fantastic sea view, and the service was decent. However, the food was overpriced for the portion sizes provided.

I initially requested a chicken meal and French fries, but at 11:30 AM, the kitchen informed me that only chicken fried rice and fries were available, so I agreed. A few minutes later, they served the fried rice, but it was cold, as if it hadn’t been freshly prepared. Priced at Rs. 1400.00, the taste and portion did not justify the cost. When I raised the issue, the waiter reheated it in the microwave and served it again.

The French fries arrived next, but they were the worst I’ve ever had—just plain fried potato strips without any seasoning or salt (priced at Rs. 1100.00) and were undercooked. In the end, I left feeling completely disappointed with both the food and the overall experience. Ample...
