⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars My brother and I had the pleasure of dining at Hungry Restaurant during our visit to Galle, and we were blown away by the exceptional experience we had here. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat! Firstly, the ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a delightful meal. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food – absolutely divine! We started with the chicken cream soup, and it was a heavenly concoction of flavors. Creamy, rich, and seasoned to perfection, it was the ideal appetizer to whet our appetites. For the main course, we decided to try their Thai seafood rice, and it was a decision we didn't regret! The combination of flavors and the freshness of the seafood left us speechless. Just went there to have lunch. This Restaurant is very tiny one. Located in moda ela road few steps From the Galle town. This is Looking old. But that was an advantage for them. People also love antique. They made it stunning. Very low space and few tables can be arranged. Wall designs are breath taking. Beautiful lights are really nice design that place makes even better. Calm lights invite you to take your meal peacefully. Lighting does not bother you. Crew is customer friendly. They clean the tables really quick and place is clean. Menu is also tiny. You do not have more choices. They have everything which is menu included. The serving plates are wooden made. So that is eco friendly other way. They took sometime to prepare the meal. The food and drinks are really great. Marvelous. I ordered a Veggie and garlic fried rice. It was 1100 lkr. It was enough for two people. Prices are average. Not too cheat nor expensive. You can park your vehicles at the road and no specified parking for this rest. But somehow I am okay with this restaurant. Recommend!!!

We went to this restaurant for lunch. We ordered the chicken cheese kotthu and Thai seafood rice for lunch, and let me tell you, the portions were small for the money we shelled out. But that's not even the worst part. The chicken cheese kotthu? Not a single piece of chicken! It was like they decided bones were a better choice than actual meat. And the so-called cheese? Non-existent. It felt like someone threw paratas into a bowl of fresh milk. Save your cash, seriously. The chicken cheese kotthu gets a solid 0/10 – wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. The Thai seafood rice? Okay and average. But honestly, I can't recommend any of the dishes we tried although the presentation was nice though. Just a waste of money.

Recently, I dined at this restaurant and opted for the Chicken Cheese Koththu and Chicken Fried Rice. Unfortunately, the Cheese Koththu fell short of my expectations compared to other places I've tried it. The Chicken Fried Rice, while a bit oily, was still palatable. Surprisingly, the Cheese Omlet and Mojito, despite their promising names, didn't quite live up to their reputation. The restaurant's unique theme adds an interesting touch to the ambiance, but overall, my experience left me somewhat disappointed, especially considering the positive reviews I had read beforehand. Perhaps it's worth giving it a try, but manage your expectations for a one-time experience.

It was a satisfying fantastic meal. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had ordered a mixed nasigoreng and chicken kottu. Both were perfect in taste. Nasigoreng was rich in ingredients than the rice. One of the best nasigoreng I ever had! The hospitality of serving was great. Waiters did a great job! Food came within a 15 mins of time. Location is very near by Galle Railway Station. Definitely visiting this place on our next trip to Galle. The atmosphere was also fine. Thoughtful design and serving dishes. Above all, food was cooked in perfection 🥰 Hope this service and the taste of food will be everlasting. I was glad I did and you'll feel the same too.

Located at a few meter-walking distance to the Galle town. Plenty of food choices in the menu for a very reasonable price. Portion is good enough. Place is a bit congested but overall experience was good. Updated on 10/03/2023 : Being a frequent customer of Hungry restaurant and our very recent visit to the restaurant dissapointed us to the core. Served us a large chicken fried rice, almost pale, had only 3 tiny chicken pieces on top and that was it. Lacked veges. Rice was quite raw. It was more like a plate of plain boiled rice rather than a fried rice and in overall the dish was bland. Did not worth what we paid at all😐 Attached the pic at the end!
