The staff here genuinely care about your experience—Nandika, our waitress, was an absolute sweetheart! She advised us to order the small portion instead of the large because the servings here are huge (and she was right!).

My first visit to Sydney Hotel, and I'm already planning my next one. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you've been transported to another era. The old architecture is stunning, and you can genuinely feel the 100+ years of history in the walls. The ambience is just perfect – elegant yet so comfortable and welcoming.

But the charm doesn't stop with the decor. The food was absolutely incredible! Every dish was bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. And the signature cocktails? An absolute treat. When in Galle, make sure to have at least a pint at Joe’s Pub here. This is a 200 year old establishment and will take you right back in time. The service is amazing, a big thank you to Mr. Malaka who took very good care of me while I was there. He educated me on the legacy of the building and gave me a small tour as well. It was a wonderful experience sitting here and admiring the architecture. You will be transported back in time.
