Jappi — Restaurant in undefined

At the restaurant called "Jappi " in the city of Uppsala, I ordered two different chicken dishes and waited 27 minutes for the food. Both dishes tasted exactly the same — same sauce, same vegetables — even though they were supposed to be different. The food had way too many vegetables and very little meat. It cost 397 SEK.

The chef and staff didn’t understand Swedish. When I told them there was too little meat and that I didn’t order a stir-fry full of vegetables, they just laughed and didn’t understand. I tried to explain that I didn’t come to eat just vegetables and asked them to add a little more meat, but they still didn’t get it.

The rice was old. They kept bringing out food in a rush. The kitchen looked very dirty. The food tasted bad. The chicken portion was very small, and there were way too many peanuts. The sauce was too watery — more like soup than a proper dish. Honestly, it was a disgusting place with...

The Beef Teriyaki showcased the Japanese side of the menu, featuring tender beef slices coated in a glossy teriyaki sauce. The sauce had a pleasing balance of sweetness and savory soy, and the beef had a slight char that added depth. Paired with steamed vegetables and rice, it was a hearty dish.

While the food at Jappi is consistently excellent, one minor drawback is that some of the dishes can be a bit oily. However, this is a small price to pay for the delicious and authentic flavors that Jappi has to offer.
