Honestly, this was a mixed bag. The level of customer service was lacking as compared to other 4 star hotels. Upon checking in, we asked for a bellman but were told they didn’t have this; indeed, the front desk staff didn’t know what a bellman was. The first room we were given was extremely hot (Stockholm was 30 degrees that week). Instead of fixing the issue, we were offered another room. It appears the attendant is only on duty Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm. Really? What if something happens at 5pm on a Friday - no resolution until Monday morning? While I appreciated the offer, moving rooms isn’t how I wish to spend my vacation time. But we did it anyway - no one helped us with the move. The second room, had better a/c, but the safe was running very low on battery. When we reported the safe, the attendant promptly addressed the issue and said, “good thing you noticed!”. So it’s the guest responsibility to make sure the in-room amenities function properly? If so, I wish to paid for providing this service. We also found the bathroom exhaust to not be functioning and the drainage in the shower to be loose and slow. The TV also turned off after 10 minutes. We didn’t report this, as again, it’s not our responsibility to check and we had grown weary with the list of things that should have been addressed before the room was released to customers. While the staff was responsive when we reported an issue, they were not proactive about preventing issues from occurring. Also, we had been looking forward to visiting their rooftop bar, but every time we tried to go, they were closed - even if the hotel information listed on the TV screen said they were open. Upon check-out, my husband found a rolling cart so we could bring our luggage downstairs. Strange that they have a cart but no bellman. And while we were waiting outside for our uber, we were physically accosted by a drunk who was displeased that we didn’t give him money when he asked. This was at 9:30am. I can’t help but wonder if there had been a staff member out there with us if this person would have been dissuaded from approaching us at all. But no one came to our aid from the hotel and there was no police presence. Luckily, this person didn’t have a knife or things would have been very different. It was our first time in Sweden and I’m sad to say, our last. We are street smart New Yorkers and yet have never experienced something like this physical assault at home. We were prepared for Sweden to be expensive, but the lack of customer care and service were disturbing to say the least....

Offering a broad variety of delicacies to suit every palate, it's one of the best we've encountered. Whether it's traditional Swedish fare or an international selection, the quality of the food is impeccable and set us up perfectly for the day.
The Radisson SAS Viking Hotel manages to combine all this opulence with affordability, thanks to the current weakness of the Swedish Krona. Despite offering a world-class experience, it remains remarkably affordable.
In summary, a stay at the Radisson SAS Viking Hotel is a seamless blend of luxury, convenience, and warm hospitality, all set against the stunning backdrop of Stockholm. It delivers a stellar experience that we can't recommend highly enough. This hotel is not just a place to stay—it's a place to experience, to relish, and...
Read moreWorst experience ever! We were suppose to celebrate our 20 year marriage and what I will remember is this. We booked suite for 2 nights and high bar for a party of almost 60 people inc drinks and the hotel did know this was happening. As a hotel they did absolutely nothing special, we were guests as everybody else… but fine! We had our own champagne anyway! The event staff has been poorly in communication and I have repeatedly needed to ask and push for answers. We finally agreed on how to organize everything regarding welcomedrinks, drinks for the evening and dj and music. Here is the tee… I asked if I could bring my own dj or rent from them. They said it wasn’t necessary and that they would accommodate our choice of 90 and 00 party music.
Evening of the event arrives and the people in the bar are completely clueless! No welcome drinks was served and after 30-45 min I asked and some person went around and putting out glasses without any explication or even asking if it should be alcohol or alcohol free. Dj was 1 hour late and did NOT play music according agreement and when asking he became extremely aggressive towards me, my husband and my 18- year old son. He also repeatedly went on and above to find my son to start fights with him and when my son told him to go away he called the guards so I had to spend over 1 hour talking to them and the so called Barmanager. Barmanager in this says that he did not get the info from the event staff and even showed him the mail conversations regarding this.
Well let say that people didn’t party, they went home and luckily we had a jar so they could give back the unused drink chips. And after a lot calls and email I finally got refunded for at least the rent and the drink chips that wasn’t used!
But I tell you! I will no longer be a member of this hotell and I will never stay at this chain!
Thank you for Making that my memory of this evening…. You should be ashamed of your...
