Nestled in the heart of Stockholm, Komet Caffé offers a delightful escape from the city's bustling streets. The café exudes that quintessential Scandinavian charm – minimalist yet cozy, with large windows that bathe the space in natural light, perfect for watching snowflakes fall or summer sunshine dance across cobblestones.
Their pastry selection is truly exceptional. The cardamom buns are a revelation – perfectly spiced with a delicate balance of sweetness that pairs beautifully with their coffee offerings. The chocolate croissants deserve special mention too, with their flaky exterior giving way to rich, high-quality chocolate that never feels too sweet or overwhelming.
The star of their beverage menu has to be the mocha. Unlike so many cafés that simply mix chocolate syrup with espresso, Komet's version feels meticulously crafted – the espresso's richness harmonizing perfectly with what tastes like house-made chocolate, topped with just the right amount of silky foam. It's the kind of drink you find yourself craving long after you've returned home.
There's something undeniably romantic about sipping this perfect mocha while watching Stockholm life unfold outside. Whether it's couples strolling hand-in-hand along the waterfront or the golden hour light reflecting off historic buildings, Komet Caffé somehow enhances Stockholm's inherent romance. It became our morning ritual, claiming a window seat and planning our day's adventures over pastries and that remarkable mocha.
The only minor drawbacks were the occasionally crowded space during peak hours and slightly longer wait times than expected. But perhaps that's simply testament to their well-deserved popularity among locals and visitors alike.
For anyone seeking an authentic Stockholm café experience with standout pastries and a mocha worth writing home about, Komet Caffé should be high on your list of places to visit in this beautiful...
Read moreWe have purchased some buns there twice in the last 2 weeks, and the buns came like this (as in photos) just in the quite thin paper bags. I contacted them with the photos and the receipt, asking if the buns should be just in the paper bag like this. And one of the owner Marie apologized and she said “they shouldn’t be just in the paper bags”, and she said she followed up this issue with the team, and they are now aware of it.
Then same thing happened this time to my husband only 2 weeks after. He asked the person and the cashier to put the buns in the boxes or like small paper bags first, but they said they don’t have any of it so they just put them in the store name stamped thin shopper bags again. 6 buns together in 1 paper bag, and one of them had cream on top.
Of course when he came back after like 15mins, the bag had already become oily as you can imagine.
I contacted them right away again but no responses yet after 3 days.
I have NEVER ever received buns or pastries just in the bag like this. The staff in other bakeries or cafes always put them in the boxes or small paper bags first, then put them in the shopper bags. Even pressbyrån, ICA, and other groceries stores have paper bags to go in their bakery.
How can this famous bakery do this?
And the owner even said in the first email that they can’t be behind every employee’s every move, and from time to time, mishaps can happen and sometimes small slip-up happens —just like typos in an email for someone working in an office.
seems like there is no sign they reconsider their mistakes and they don’t want to improve their service.
Komet really doesn’t take the customers’ voice very seriously.
I will never ever visit...
Read more[STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN] When the owners are french, you know the pastries you ordered are gonna be good. Truth behold, the pastries we ordered were amazing and the coffee complemented well 😍 this neighbourhood cafe is definitely one you need to come when you're here!
The Pistage Dream 🥐 (SEK 59) had a really crispy buttery exterior, with really amazing pistachio paste in the middle. The paste wasn't overly sweet, and you can tell that loads of fresh pistachio went to making this paste. Every bite was so nutty and flavourful that it's addictive!
The Pain Au Chocolat (SEK 44) was also very crispy and buttery, with decadent rich chocolate ganache within that makes it satisfying. I mopped up this pastry as well with little crumbs left on the plate 😂
As for their coffee, the notes were more towards the acidic side, perhaps a medium roast. This complemented the pastries well, as when it got sweet, a sip of coffee will do the job.
Do let them know you want your bakes heated! Definitely worthy a 2nd visit especially with the cute doggo around 😂 realised that if you eat bread he will sit in front of you to wait...
