Italiana Östermalm - Italiensk restaurang — Restaurant in Stockholm

Dropped in for dinner with my wife. Few guests to start with, filled up later. Had a Bruchetta as a starter that was ok with lot of tomatos, garlic, basil and oil. Ordered a pizza with salsiccia and my wife ordered a Rigatoni al salsiccia with a tomato salad. Together with a bottle of Chianti. The wine was excellent! The Rigatone ok. The tomato salad was a lot of salad and three small tomatoes. Disapointing. The pizza was a disaster. The dough was not properly rolled and therefore it more looked like an american pizza, very thick. The topping was too much cheese and some pices with salsiccia. I ate half of it. The service was poor. As a start we told the waiter that the salt mill did not work, he gave us one for another table, ok, but just replaced the one that did not work. He asked us if the food was alright and I told him no, which i notices since i left most of the pizza. He did not comment och say a word about this. No offer to serve a coffee or such. The food was very nice, good selection of charcuteries, pasta felt fresh and was well made. The pizza was very nice, i had the salsiccia e scamorza and the flavours where very simple and clear, very enjoyable! One from our table thought the truffle risotto was a bit bland and could have a bit bolder flavours. But all in all the food was very good.

The service was very friendly, relaxed and inviting. Super professional, knowledgeable and kind staff, both waiter and kitchen. Took the extra time to serve the grappa in the "right" way, helped with off menue orders etc. The staff was the highlight of the evening!

We ate on a sunday evening so it was only one other table seated when we arrived, a few more dropped in during our stay. There was a lot of candle light and a typical italian restaurant feeling with some visible brick walls, wine bottles on every shelf.

We made a reservation but we arrived 15 min late because we could not find any parking slots around the restaurant!!!. The waitress did not mind our late arrival, which was kind of her. I ordered a pasta with a half lobster and scampis which turned out to be a disappointment. The lobster was precooked and too salty, while the scampis were small like shrimps.
