Update February 2024: Second time here and the food continued surprising me. This is the most authentic Northern Chinese styled noodle place you can find in Stockholm, as well as outstanding wonton soup and Xiaolongbao. The Xiaolongbao dough was thin and stretchy, and the flavorful minced meat and vegetables was soaked in warm stock. The Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) are only served on Tuesdays, since this dish is so rare in Stockholm, don’t miss out. First visit April 2023: 4.5-star food, 5-star service. This place serves very authentic northern Chinese style noodles. The noodles were handmade, and boiled to a perfect texture. The noodles with beef and bean sauce has a history of over 700 years in China, and this place really made it well. The prawn wonton soup was the best I had in Stockholm, the umami of the prawns were maximized with the clear soup base. The only improvement that can be done is the selection of chicken. I could taste in the chicken aubergine noodles that the chicken meat was the frozen type. I would rather pay for more to get this delicious dish made with corn fed chicken meat. I will come back again to try more things...
Read moreAfter passing by the restaurant many times, I finally gave it a try. I am happy that I did.
I got the sweet & sour sweet potato noodles with tofu and a seaweed salad. The waitress asked if I wanted it less spicy, which was super nice if her. I asked for the rice noodles, the waitress mentioned they were out and recommended me a rice dish, however I also don’t eat meat so that wasn’t an option. She asked the chef, who came to the table and explained that the sweet potato noodles are gluten free, but that the sauce contains some gluten. I knew this beforehand, it’s also clear on their menu. A small amount of gluten is fine for me, but I really appreciate their advice.
The seaweed salad was amazing. So tasty, great texture. Best I’ve ever had.
Then the noodles came. Steaming hot, spicy, fragrant, crispy tofu, fresh veggies, spicy chilli oil. Great!
When we left, the waitress recommended my friend a dish for next time and asked me if she needs to make it less spicy next time. Less less spicy, I think my bowels will be grateful 🙌
Amazing food and kind...
Read moreAuthentic chinese noodle. It's nice to have a chinese noodle restaurant in between the japanese ramen trend. I order beef ramen for 175sek. The beef was really soft. The broth is clear and salty of soy sauce, the server warned me if I wanted less salty. The noodle is clearly handmade, but it's quite chewy, I would prefer it to be a bit softer. I ordered a cold kelp salad, it was a big portion for 68sek, too much for one person. It's seasoned with soy sauce, which contain kelp and thin sliced carrot. It tastes fresh. It was a small restaurant holds around 17 seats, which can be really loud when it's full. The server was trying her best in between...
