Went here today with 8 people for a colleague's last day. We were sat promptly outside, which was fantastic, especially since it was during the Euros quarter finals match.
From there, for me at least that is when things went wrong.
They came to take our order and I asked for a truffleburger thinking everything would be alright, 2 others ordered a normal burger, and everyone else ordered a fish & chips. About 45 minutes later, the waitress informed us that the kitchen was experiencing problems and the food would take another 15 to 20 minutes to arrive.
It came out in that time frame, but instead of the burger I requested, a non truffle one came. I informed them I would happily take it with a discount as otherwise I would have to wait up to another 30 minutes to get a burger again due to the kitchen issues. Their response was that they couldn't do that. So begrudgingly I didn't have much more of an option than to take it given there other 7 members of our party already had their food.
Afterwards, they came by and asked how the food was and bluntly told them "well it wasn't what I originally ordered", and received a blank stare in response. The burger was nothing spectacular either for 200 sek.
Then when we attempted to pay, not only was the payment terminal having issues outside, but inside as well for our entire party, they supposedly charged one of colleagues for his food 3x, and couldn't find our orders on the bill for the burgers, which caused us to have to wait for 30 to 40 minutes while they figured that out.
On the plus side the game was playing at least.
Supposedly this was the first week they were open? But it seemed like a complete mess in terms of training, organization, etc.
The waitress and waiters - they seemed stressed out, even though we were patient with them, are not to blame but restaurant management really should have ironed a lot of this stuff out prior to opening.
I'd maybe come back for beers, but definitely not food. The menu was also quite erratic. "Nachos" and "Burrata" on...
Read moreWanted to go and see if the bad reviews were correct and was NOT disappointed. Me and two friends had had some beers at another place and walked pass this place and went in. Chatted to the guard at the door and went and sat down at a table. Waiter comes over and says friend 1 one was too drunk to order something but the rest could order something. We asked if he was joking and he said no and went to get a guard who said friend 2 was too drunk and was not allowed to order something but the rest of us were ok. If we actually had been that drunk the guy at the door should not have let us in… We just looked at each other and went to another place who did not have a problem with us.
I just hope this place goes belly up and someone else can take over. This used to be a great place for a beer in the summer when...
Read moreThis was a great pub to enjoy some delicious food and sit outside by the fountains (or inside if you prefer). We had the fish and chips and my son got the Swedish meatballs. It was all delicious! The fish was fried beautifully, the fries were outstanding. The meatballs looked hand made instead of manufactured, the mashed potatoes were creamy and rich, and the lingonberrys were a perfect balance of sweet and sour. I also really liked the cucumbers in vinegar that came with the meatballs. We came back later for dessert and it was pretty great as well! The guys had ice cream and I had the brownie that had chocolate ice cream and raspberry sauce. It was a perfect balance of sweet and tangy! Highly recommend eating here! They also have a nice...
