Well, the place looks awesome from the outside at night. Although one would almost not be able to guess what it was. I went there because of a strong recommendation from a Swedish friend who assured me that there was a really fun area for children to play. My daughter is 7-years old, and after building the place up to her she was really excited to go and have some fun. The first time we went we couldn’t figure out how to get inside. It’s not that obvious. The next time we went we found our way in, and once in we were pleasantly surprised that it was quite nice inside. But, we were expecting a cultural experience and some good old play time. What we found was a lovely .....shopping mall. After looking around for a play area with no luck we decided to ask at an info kiosk. They pointed us to a toy store and said that there was a play area in there. My daughter ran ahead in excitement, down an escalator with me running to keep up, around a corner and wow.......there was an extremely small play area, mostly for younger kids (which is nice enough that the store owners provide) but, it was not what we were expecting at all. That was that. We walked around a bit more and left as we had no intention of shopping. I’m still left here wondering as I write this, in what way could this ever be thought of as being some kind of cultural experience..? Read moreThe building holds many incredible places for all ages, I need to highlight the library for kids and teenagers. Adults are not allowed, and I believe it is one of the city treasures, also the chess tables and the big library with records and a vibrant, dedicated curated collection and cool staff! Same, the building is hosting Unga Klara, which itself talks very much about the vision of the country regarding children rights. But the place itself is a mess, it's like there is no one in charge, electric stairs not working during peak hours, doors in terrible conditions, crappy signing, restaurants with the poorest offer in the town. The staff is trying always to be nice, but the security guards really enjoy being considered rude...
